Addtam Surge Protector Outlet Extender with 5 AC and 4 USB Ports, 4.5A

This Addtam product is quality made. I really like that it simply plugs into a (standard two outlet) wall power outlet . . . and instantly converts it to provide five power outlets and four USB surge protected USB charging ports, wow! It even has a plastic prong that inserts into the lower outlet to strengthen and secure the device in the wall. Its easy to do, and you get so much more from that standard wall outlet. I have always had a problem running out of outlets to accommodate all the transformers needed to charge cell phones, tablets, and laptops, etc., on the same kitchen countertop. This device solves that problem, and get this, the additional power outlets have an angle (instead of straight in) which allows additional transformers if needed, very nice. The four surge protected USB ports on the device include three USB-A ports and one USB-C port connections. I like that it is not expensive and it does so much. It works well for me and I recommend it to you.

This has been great to use in a place with very few outlets. I can charge multiple electronics at the same time. It’s easy to use and install. It is not too bulky and doesn’t look ugly. It’s very reliable and functions well with multiple plugs at the same time. I would buy this product again.

Really happy with this outlet extender. It fits perfectly on the wall and feels steady once plugged in. I purchased two of these one went inside the house in a cabinet and the other in the garage on the wall the one in the cabinet installed as expected just fine and that’s on a normal rounded grounded receptacle outlet not the rectangle design. The second one which is in the garage is installed on a GFCI Newark rectangle type of outlet and this one gave trouble because of the plastic piece. It apparently wasn’t spaced adequately to accommodate the grounding ports on this receptacle. I ended up having to cut the plastic knob off, which is fine because I don’t plan on plugging a lot of weighted devices on this so it doesn’t need that extra support. It’s unfortunate that I had to do that in the spacing wasn’t correct for the style of outlet. Unfortunately, I didn’t take a picture before I cut the knob off, but I did include a picture of the style of receptacle. It was plugged into if that helps anyone in the future. I have not had a real chance to use them and I only am using them as a regular outlet not the actual USB ports on either device so I can’t really speak to that other than plugged in and the green light showing it’s protected came on as it should

Can't say enough good things about this outlet extender. It works well, has plenty of outlets that are well spaced so you can fit big plugs without covering other outlets. This is my 3rd purchase. I have them all throughout my home. Very nice addition.

Love these so much I have one in every room. I don’t really see the usb parts much but I’m glad they are there when I need them.

I bought one of these Addtam outlet extenders for the kitchen and ended up ordering a handful more. Between phones, e-readers, a handheld gaming console, and smart-home hubs, a single duplex outlet just wasn’t cutting it. What I like Plenty of room for bulky plugs. Five AC sockets wrap around three sides, so a chunky power brick no longer blocks everything else. Built-in USB (with USB-C). Four charging ports mean fewer wall-warts cluttering the counter. The USB-C tops out at 20 W—enough to keep my 13-inch laptop from draining while I work, even if it won’t “fast charge” a big workstation rig. Decent surge protection. 1,800 joules isn’t industrial grade, but it’s peace of mind for routers, consoles, and other small electronics that hate power blips. A green LED tells you the protection is still active. Stays put. Swap out the face-plate screw with the one provided and the unit feels rock-solid. Even in outlets without that screw, the support prong keeps it steady. Compact depth. It adds only about an inch of extra clearance, so bookcases and nightstands can still sit almost flush to the wall. A couple of quirks Weight. It’s a bit heavier than it looks; loose wall boxes may need the center screw to keep things snug. USB-C ceiling. Great for tablets, phones, and smaller laptops, but not ideal if you need high-wattage charging for a power-hungry workstation. Bottom line If your household resembles a tangle of chargers fighting over the last open outlet, this adapter is an affordable fix. After outfitting the bedrooms, office, and living-room TV stand, I haven’t tripped it or lost surge protection once. It’s now the first thing I pack for hotel stays, too.
