Has a case to keep them together. .
My wife learned the Japanese style game and has been playing every Wednesday for about 4 months. Cards are thick and durable and should last for the better part of a year.

Just Like Our Set From 1968! Bright colors, quality cards, traditional!
I love this set! We played hours growing up in the 1960s. I didn't think I'd ever get another set like that one. These are just like them. Bright, colorful images on thickened paper cards. But sturdy, Dai jobo!

Nicely made traditional hanafuda!
First off, these cards are NOT produced by Nintendo despite what it says in the description, but rather by another Japanese manufacturer called Angel. That said, these cards are well-made examples of standard modern hanafuda cards. They are printed on heavy card stock with subtlety textured black wrapped backs. The construction is standard for Japanese hanafuda (plastic is almost exclusively used by Korean manufacturers for hwatu, essentially identical cards used in that country). Unlike more premium versions, these appear to be uncoated.

Sakura Cards
Definitely what I expected! Love how much care was put into the packing. I love my cards. It’s just as I remembered it when I played cards with my Family in Hawaii. Love these cards.

High Quality
You can find these cheaper. BUT... this set in particular is high quality. The cards are sturdy and don't feel like paper (they feel like plastic although I think they are cardboard). They also come in a cute plastic case.

Awesome remakes or original hanafuda cards
Really cool remakes of hanafuda cards from late 1800s original produced by Nintendo!

Very good quality but does not come with instructions
These cards are adorable!! They are made of a durable material, so you never have to worry about bending them or ripping them (I really don't think it is even possible to). A disclaimer though - for people who are like me and do not know this, hanafuda cards are VERY SMALL!! This is not me speaking about these cards specifically, but rather the nature of the cards themselves. You can look up any set of hanafuda cards online and see that they are naturally just extremely small. If you are hoping to get a size that will be about the same as an average deck of cards, this is not the purchase for you. Also, this purchase does not come with instructions, so if you do not know how to play or know all of the rules to the game - and there are A LOT if you think about what is included in each little thing that could earn you points - make sure to at least print some off from the internet if you are not going to buy another set instead. I personally love the game, so I have had tons of fun with it (it is difficult to learn at first, so you have to be very patient with the process). Overall, I would say as long as you are okay with it not having instructions and bring the traditional size of a hanafuda game, it is a good buy.
