Camping game changer!!!
Before I get into this I feel I must note that I am in my early forties. I went camping last year and noticed my body doesn't take to sleeping on light pads as well as it used to. I woke up sore enough in the middle of the night that I had to take some Tylenol and Ibuprofen before I was able to go back to sleep. So when my best mate called me up and asked me if I wanted to go camping with the family I knew I was either going to need a cot or a lot of aspirin. I hopped on Amazon and did a little bit of research and decided to go with the Sportneer. The cot got some great reviews, looked sturdy, and was wide enough that I wouldn't be confined to a small space or fall off in the middle of the night. I set it up to give it a light test when I got it. It was pretty easy to set up, though I did have to apply some pressure to get it flat the first time. When I lay on it I was impressed with how comfortable it was. I knew I wouldn't need to put a soft pad on it (though I did anyway) to be able to fall asleep. And with my awesome pillow and cozy sleeping bag I thought I shouldn't have any trouble sleeping through the night without the aid of aspirin. This cot helped give me some of the best sleep I've gotten on a camping trip! I woke up feeling more refreshed than I have in awhile. This cot is soft enough to be comfortable, sturdy so you won't sink into it, does not need to be inflated, and unlike every mattress I've ever owned, won't lose air during the night. Another added bonus, in the morning it's easier to get up and moving than it is if I slept on the ground. I also have a comfortable place to sit in the tent if I need. So happy with my purchase!

Easy up, Easy down
My wife and I bought 2 of these cots for when our grandchildren spend the night. They are of the age where they like to sleep near their Mema. Being against allowing children to sleep in our bed, this was an agreed upon solution that they both accepted. When we received them and set one up, we were concerned about the comfort of the cot due to its rigidness. I laid my 5'10", 175lb body down on the cot and had plenty of room. Though a little stiff, I also felt that sleeping on one these would definitely be better than on the ground in a tenting situation. I suppose the stiffness is unavoidable in a "nature of the beast" kind of way. So what we did on the first grandchild sleepover with the cot was we placed a sleeping bag on the cot to act as a mattress. I questioned the child the next morning and she said she slept well and was very comfortable. I suspect that being able to sleep near her Mema, as opposed to a separate bedroom, played a partial role in that adolescent review. LOL. These cots are very sturdy and are extremely easy to set up and take down. When not in use they stow in a provided sac ( similar to a camping folding chair) and take up little room in the corner of a spare, though unused bedroom. With that said, I do not think these would be suited to a remote camping situation as they would be fairly heavy and bulky to carry any distance with all the other needed camp supplies. They would, however, be perfect for those situations where you are able to drive right to a camp sight and you would like to avoid sleeping on the ground. If I were a tent camper and could drive to the campsite, these cots would definitely be on my must have list.

Sturdy, but hard to lock into place
I got this cot primarily to use indoors when we travel. We stay in rental cabins and motels during our trips. Recently I slept on a motel bed that nearly left me crippled! (I have a bad back). I vowed NEVER AGAIN to leave my sleep space to an unknown fate. I decided to look into a travel sleep system that I can count on and stop taking chances and rolling the dice on sleeping surfaces when we travel. I just got back from a trip to Colorado. I slept on this cot for 6 nights. So far... so good. I have to mention here that I have a self-inflating mattress on top of my cot...the cot alone would NOT be comfortable. Unless you are young and spry, I think expecting any cot without extra cushioning to be comfortable is unrealistic. The air mattress that I have is the Elegear self inflating pad which fits perfectly on this cot. So far I've found my cot to be VERY sturdy...it doesn't budge when I roll over on it. It's solid and very quiet...no squeaking like a few other reviewers have mentioned. Mine is rock solid. Unfortunately, my cot is hard to lock into place. The initial unfold is easy, but the two center locking points are very stubborn and don't want to lay flat (they have to be flat in order to lock). My arms aren't strong enough to lock them so I have found that If I just gently sit on the middle point on each side...go back and forth to ease those middle points down, they eventually lock. I don't think that this is how this is supposed to work, so I'm taking off one star for it. Expectedly, since it's so hard to lock into its flat position, it's also very hard to unlock when it's time to fold the cot back up. If I mess with the other legs of the cot, it finally will release. Normally I would return this cot for another, but since my cot is so sturdy and the stitching seems very strong, I don't really want to trade this one in for the potential problems others are having with it. So I'll just muttle through and make this one work. The cot comes with it's own carrying bag. It is NOT sturdy or well made. The little clip that cinches it tight on the end is worthless so I replaced it with one that I already have. The strap on the carrying bag seems really wimpy, so I put a Velcro strap around the middle of the bag and carry it by that. The cot is not heavy or hard to carry which makes it perfect for someone like me who will be lugging this thing into motels, etc. When I was shopping for cots, I was trying to avoid the ones that have the pillow rise on one end. I thought that I wanted a flat one. I got this because i was running out of time before my trip and this one would arrive in time. It turns out that I LOVE the pillow rise on one end. It gives my back some nice relief...so much better than laying perfectly flat...so I lucked out there. I would say that so far, this has been a very good purchase. I love the idea of knowing what I'll be putting my back through at night when we travel.

Great cot with easy assembly
We recently ordered this cot, seeking a hassle-free option that doesn’t require assembly each time we need it, typically when our kids are sick. Previously, we relied on Regalo cots (great for toddlers and big kids), but after having three break over the years, we decided to try something different and bigger. This cot arrived just in time for one of our kids to fall sick, and it proved to be comfortable enough for her to sleep in for several nights. The size and sturdiness is even great for my husband who is just over 200lbs and 5’11”. I like that it sits up higher, allowing space below for items when camping. My daughter especially loved the pocket which held her remote & book.

Good quality, well built, and comfy
I'm really impressed with this cot. It's well made and very comfortable. Been sleeping on it through 2 knee replacement recoveries, so many weeks. Had a different brand and one of the legs gave out with a lot of use. This one is much better designed and supported. I don't really use the pockets, but it's a nice bonus feature that would be handy for camping.

Easy to set up, sturdy, and comfortable
I just got this cot and it takes like 5 seconds to set up. Putting it up is really quick too. Getting in the bag is the longest part, and the bag has plenty of room, so it's not bad either. It's nice and light too. I have broad shoulders, so I need a big cot or my arms hang off, and this one is just big enough for me to fit comfortably. Overall, for the price I'm very happy. Now I just hope it holds up for a long time.....Edited to add, one of the plastic brackets had an issue when setting up and pulled a screw through it. I contacted the seller to see about a new bracket and they were awesome. They asked for a picture of the broken piece and then sent an entirely new cot for free. They definitely stand behind their product. Very good seller.

Too hard to set up!! Then Sportneer made it right. Excellent custom service.
Since writing the review below, Sportneer has been in good communication and very helpful to me. They sent a replacement cot that does not have the same issues. Their customer service was superb. If you have any challenges with your cot, contact them and they will help you. They were friendly and professional and definitely wanted to make things right for me. Original review - does not apply to replacement cot! It’s incredibly hard to lock in place, not at all set up like in the videos. With two strong adults working on it, we are able to set it up. To keep it in place, I have to use river straps. Otherwise , it collapses. It’s not a one-person job. I’ve tried multiple times to speak with the seller or manufacturer to see if it’s user error and both are unresponsive. It’s comfortable when set up and held in place with straps. Too bad about the difficulty setting up and the lack of responsiveness from Sportneer and the seller. Amazon is helpful though.

Comfortable. Fits even tall people. Easy to set up and take down.
We had our grandkids (5 & 8) and their family over for a 10-day visit recently. We put the kids on the cots with a pillow and sleeping bag and they slept great and said they were comfortable. Even our 6'2" 225# son fit comfortably when he tried one out. The bags on the side fit quite a bit of stuff. Easy to set up and take down. I would recommend these cots as a temporary sleeping solution.
