So in other words, you will not be able to use more capacity batteries in this unit it will not work. Cost analysis: On Amazon site 1200 mAH rechargeable batteries cost 3.00 dollars a battery 3x6=18 dollars to buy batteries USB cable with plug $6.99 at Walmart 18.00 + 7.00 = 25.00 dollars 47.00 dollars – 25.00 dollars = 22.00 shipping cost 7.00 = 15.00 dollars This is a great deal: the unit is all metal and well built with batteries and charging cord and plug included. The screws are metal with hard plastic knobs. It does have a strong plastic cover for light. The base doesn’t tighten enough but it is beneficial for moving in the direction you want it and it is workable. My experience is great light, it may not deliver the lumens they advertise but the light is bright for many working tasks. So far it is working fine and I would buy it again if it doesn’t have any issues in the days ahead. The batteries work fine and you can replace them but must be 1200 mAH rated not higher.

Figured out the charging issue. Only works with the chord it came with and doesn’t work with a different chord. Editing my review to 5 stars which is what this product deserves. Great light!

Let me start by saying that the light really seemed like a quality built light at first. The glass lens and the aluminum alloy body were nicely done, and the light seemed to be of pretty decent quality, but I soon realized that this thing had a bunch of issues. First of all, it is not even close to 7,000 lumens. NOT EVEN CLOSE!!! It is actually right at 3,000 lumens on the highest setting. I don't know how these sellers are getting away with these ridiculously inflated numbers that they are claiming because this is not the only brand to falsely advertise the amount of lumens it has. I've ordered several lights over the last few months because I am a mobile mechanic and sometimes work at night. There are tons of these types of rechargeable lights that claim ridiculously high lumen numbers and are falsely advertising to customers. The battery life is not good either, especially on high. It runs through the battery life very quickly. You get about an hour and a half on high. Also, there are other reviewers on here who mention how the light stays on for a few minutes then shuts off. That is because it has a high temperature kill switch built in, which is ridiculous. If you run this thing on a warm or hot day, it cuts off within just a few minutes. The battery indicator light didn't work right out of the box, and no matter how long I charged it, it always said I had 2 battery bars left to charge. If you unplugged the charger and turned it on, it would say it was fully charged though, so lots of issues with this light. I highly recommend the sylstar rechargeable light. It's literally just as bright as this light for half the price and is much more versatile. Please head my warning on this light, it's literal crap. I promise you there are better options available for much less. Terrible battery life, long recharge time, not 7,000 lumens, and overheats quickly. I ordered the sylstar light for half the price and it's so bright and so much more versatile, and I highly recommend it. The battery life goes for hours on high too!!
