I am using it to drive a second monitor from a cheap laptop. The first monitor is driven by laptop's built-in HDMI port. I am no able to find any difference in terms of picture delay or picture quality between the monitor connected to the adapter and the monitor connected to the laptop. The main reason for purchasing this particular model is DDC/CI support. With this adapter I am able to control monitor's settings like brightness using a special piece of software. This feature is very handy especially in this time of the year when daylight is scarce and artificial light kicks in around midday. The only issue observed so far is that the monitor goes blank for a second when I connect a phone to a charger that sits nearby the laptop. The charger is connected to the mains, it is not connected to the monitor or the laptop. I am guessing the reason for this is bad EMI filtering in the monitor or the laptop. The fact that the HDMI cable is using fake ferrite chokes does not help either. I am guessing a good quality HDMI cable would prevent such interference, but I am yet to test this.

If you're trying to connect 2 monitors to your laptop that only has 1 HDMI port, this is perfect. Setup was easy and the picture quality is noticably better on the monitor that uses this adapater vs the other monitor that is plugged in directly through HDMI. Only complaint is that for whatever reason, my wireless mouse lags really bad while this adapter is plugged in. But the trackpad still works fine

I recently decided I needed a second external monitor to hookup to my laptop. My first monitor was using the HDMI port on my laptop. Ports I had left were a USB-C and 2 USB 3.0 ports. Found out after purchasing the monitor and a USB-C to HDMI cable that my USB-C port did not support video output. Whoops! Thought I was out of luck, but did some research and found this little baby. I had an extra USB 3.0 port available and this was a simple fix to my situation, without spending a lot of money to purchase other adapters that had hookups I did not need. Downloaded the driver from their site, plugged in and viola! Up and running in less than 2 minutes. Now I have 2 external monitors. I did run a Youtube or 2 and also a Hulu show - no issues at all. I am not a gamer or heavy video user. Hopefully this will last. I am happy with my purchase.

Works great.. EXCEPT, if a mouse or keyboard are connected via bluetooth, the device gets so hot that there's a noticeable intermittent connection when using the accessories (mouse/bluetooth). Would recommend, but careful when using the USB ports for bluetooth connections.

I have a Samsung Galaxy A52 5g phone that I want to display on a dumb TV using an HDMI cable. I watched a YouTube video by Yulong Fan on the CableCreationOfficial channel, where Yulong described in detail how to get my exact phone to display via HDMI cable to a dumb TV. I followed her instructions exactly, even using exactly the same DisplayLink adapter, OTG cable and DisplayLink software that she used in the video. This system worked beautifully for several minutes and then broke the connection. The connection needs to be restarted every couple of minutes to use it. I sent the DisplayLink-enabled CableCreation adapter back to Amazon as I could not get it to function for more than 13 minutes even after tinkering with several options using the developer mode of the phone. After returning the item I happened upon another review of a different kind of adapter which mentioned that in order for that other type of adapter to continue working without repeatedly cutting out the phone needed to be in airplane mode, which was not stated in the product description. I am attempting to hook up my phone using a SlimPort adapter and a direct wired USB c to HDMI approach to see if either of these methods will work. If neither of these work I will probably reorder the CableCreation DisplayLink-enabled adapter and see if it works if I turn on airplane mode. If none of these ideas work I will have to settle for a wireless approach using a Roku streaming stick, which I expect will work, but will require me to use WiFi and change the WiFi settings on the Roku stick every time I use my phone with a different TV. I will upgrade this review later if it turns out that the CableCreation adapter is functional on my phone with airplane mode turned on. I have personally solved this problem with another cheaper device which is a bit tricky to set up but which seems to function flawlessly once it is set up. This connector works perfectly with my Macbook Mro (M1 Chip). It allows me to connect and use 2 monitors. Compare to other docks this product is cheap and does the work. I can connect 2 monitors with HDMI cable. To connect this usb connector i am using portronics mport usb hub which allows me to connect one monitor directly through HDMI cable and to connect the other monitor I use USB port of this hub.

My laptop only has one HDMI input so I needed something to add a second external screen but didn’t have the latest generation of USB-C on my laptop. The converter works perfectly and displays on my second external monitor at high resolution without issue or degradation. Highly recommended.

Works instantly. Used the cleaner ( just in case ). Downloaded latest Windows 11 driver from the CableCreation site. Works instantly ! Using on a Lenovo Gaming 3i ( i7 15IHU6 ) which has a USB type-C Gen-1 but does not work for display. Bought some cheap alternative that game me enough trouble and stopped working after Windows 11 upgrade. However, this one ( just installed ) works brilliantly.

I own two Asus XG17AHP USB-C monitors and while this provides a wonderful dual external 17 inch portable monitor solution for my MacBook Pro (2021 with dual USB-C) had a road block with my Windows Surfacebook 3 which only has one USB-C. This product solved the problem! Works like a charm with high-resolution display - exactly the same as the other display connected to the single USB-C. Yes, the XG17AHP monitor does have an HDMI mini-plug along with an HDMI to HDMI mini connection so the connection to the Cable Connection device with a second cable being a from USB-C power input on XG17AHP monitor to USB-C to USB-A (provided with monitor) then into the second USB-A plug on the Microsoft Surfacebook 3 (the first being used for this Cable Creation device)! Much less expensive than other options and I have had very good results with Cable Creation products before. Nice and small, so very portable.

Reviewing it after 7 days of Usage. So far the device has been working great. I don't see any flicker problems and restarts which I use to get with some other brand's adaptor which I purchased earlier. This adaptor is great for a dual monitor setup for laptops which do not have type c display port. And the output as shown in image I am getting is 75 hz at 1080p resolution. So far I am satisfied with the product. Let's hope it keeps on working for long term as well.
