Great game for the 4 to 7 years olds
I bought this because back when we had a Windows 98 we had a copy and the kids loved it. I was trying to get a copy that would work on Window 7 for my great-nephew who is 4 and likes to play games on the computer. It worked good on my Window 7. Had no trouble uploading it to my Windows 7. In fact my 17 year old son like playing it again.

grandkids love it! I am running win 7 pro 32 bit system! runs great!! different from 15 year old version but kids still enjoy it!

Heavy Machines + Kids = FUN!! Easy Setup!!
Very Easy to Setup! The animation is crisp and seemless. The missions are very easy to start up and easy to play. The items are easy to move with your mouse, thus very fun and easy for kids. Many of the missions, all of which involve heavy powerful machinery, are easy to earn certificates for completion which is a great confidence booster! The software also comes with a mini-activity book for coloring. Overall it is a great game and a must buy for young children interested in adventures with the machines used by Police, Firefighters, Mountain Rescuers, etc.

FUN TO PLAY AND EASY TO INSTALL
I bought this software for both my 2-year-old girl and 4-year-old son recently, both loved it so much that I had to make them take turns playing it. Both the sound and graphics are clear. It takes kids to many different rescue units, e.g. fire station, police station, etc., and shows them what equipments are required to carry out a rescue mission. Kids can also use a mouse to direct some vehicles or aircrafts to accomplish a task. My kids cheered for each other when they went on a mission and shouted joyfully whenever a mission was accomplished. I guess it's a nature that everybody wants to be a hero at heart. If your kids are young like mine, most likely they will enjoy playing this software.

Superior...that's all I can say!!
This software is by far the most fun and "friendly" of any software that we've purchased for our 3 1/2 year old grandson. What's got me concerned is that my wife and I enjoy watching and helping him with it as much as he enjoys it. This software is a MUST. I've spent money on several software games for my grandson, but this has multiple scenarios of firefighting, police assistance and other rescue missions that make this software a SUPER gift. It offers excellent hand / eye coordination, yet is very forgiving to a young toddler who isn't precise with using a mouse. If I knew how much fun this was, I would have paid twice the money.
With the friendly help of Tonka Joe, kids visit the Fire Station, Police Station, Marine Rescue Center and Helicopter Pad. Each location offers essentially the same three activities. First, children wash each vehicle (there are approximately three per area). Next, they place the vehicle's equipment using shaded areas as guides. After the parts are assembled, they can then take the rescue vehicle for a test drive (tools for decoration are also sometimes available). The limited control of the boats, trucks and helicopter make the driving action far from thrilling, and challenges are missing. Younger testers (ages 4-5) enjoyed the game when they first played, and wanted to play to the end. There are lots of awards and certificates (not always well-matched to the amount of effort), but more novelty would be required to keep the kids engaged for the long-term. -- From Children's Software Revue® -- \"Subscribe Now!\"
