6 years and counting
Purchased in November of 2019, so I can confidently say it is worth every penny. At the time it was a blessing for my aging pitbull's comfort. After she passed, our next (bigger, stronger, wilder) rescue bully inherited it. After nearly six years of constant use, the padding of both the bed and the bolsters has not flattened or faltered. Right in the center the fabric is ever so slightly starting to fade, but that's after all of these years and being stripped and washed every few months. The dogs have never minded!I understand that it's expensive - however, last year I purchased a $100 knock-off to use as a secondary bed in my office, and with only being used for a few hours a few days a week, it's already going flat as a pancake.

High quality dog bed (your cats will love it too)
OK so I want to start off by saying- I did try cheaper beds first. The cheaper beds I tried are less fluffy, NOT waterproof, and the material gets worn and even torn up pretty quickly. So I bit the bullet and I bought the more expensive bed, and i am SO glad I did. It's beautifully made, just a simple dog bed - you can take it apart for easier cleaning - and if you're lazy like I tend to like to be I suggest getting the blanket by this company as well to put over the bed ( and get something to hold it in place too.. I use the bed sheet clips that look like suspenders to hold the blanket over the bed ) this way all i have to wash if there is any mud/ or messes is the blanket! I take a lint roller to the actual dog bed and it's usually good to go.My dog prefer to be off the ground so I also actually have this on top of an elevated dog bed ( with the rubber mat center ) . This bed is THICK ! My dogs probably think it's my bed mattress! With their old bed they very rarely used it, now I have 3 dogs and 3 cats trying to get on this bed at all times. Another bonus is the nice neutral look to it, it is not an eye sore at all.If you're wondering if it's worth the money- it is, I promise

This is Quality!
I searched long and hard for a dog bed that would be worth the investment. OMGEEEE! This is it! I wanted and needed the following;> a material that would hold up to a large dog that thinks he has to scratch and fluff up his sleeping quarters>a bed that really was an orthopedic dog bed and not one claiming such because it had egg crate type foam>a bed that could repel water or at least have something inside that would keep the foam inside from getting wet> a bed that would stay put and not slide around by my dog getting in and out of it> a bed that had a cover that could be washed if needed and not just be spot cleaned> a bed that had some sort of sides that would allow my dog to cradle or get snug without rolling off> a bed that allowed for easy access for an aging dog> a bed large enough for an overweight siberian husky to stretch out like he was on a beach> a bed that didn't attract and hold on to dog hair tighter than velcro on a tennis ball>a bed that could hold up long termI FOUND IT! THIS IS IT!I ordered the XX Large (Jumbo) sized one in slate grey. I realize now the XL would have been more than sufficient, but I opted for the extra 6 inch increase in both length and width. There was quite an increase in price for it too. However, after seeing my precious furbaby perching in there like some gallant king, I have no regrets. I have to say though, this 50"x40" bed takes up a LOT of living room realestate. It is huge and a bit heavy too. I need to rearrange the room now. This bed uses solid 5" memory foam. It came tightly rolled up in plastic and then protected by a heavy outer layer of thick black plastic and the weight of this roll was heavy. The directions encourage you to insert it into the inner waterproof covering before it's fully expanded. Heed that suggestion. There are 2 zippers on this bed. Do not make the mistake I made by unzipping the upper part with the bolster. It's an initial challenge figuring out how to tuck that thing back up. Be sure to look for the very bottom zipper near the non-skid bottom. This is a very well made bed and well worth the investment especially if you need the jumbo sized one. With the craftsmanship in this, I have no doubts every other size will be the same. Are there any areas for making this bed any better? All I can think of is maybe metal zippers? I don't know, the ones on it now are quite good and do the job. Overall, a big shout out to PetFusion - Thank You!
