Venetian Interiors

Somewhat disappointing and I love decorating books. What ever happened to the ability of viewing several pictures. Now we're down to one and I would not have chosen this book. I'll be more discerning in future and buy only what has been recommended to me.

This is a fabulous book that captures the spirit and essence of Venetian interiors. I have a vast collection of interior decoration books and this is one that I never tire of leafing through. The photographs are of very high quality and the atmospheres captured in them are sublime. Highly recommended.

Love this book! A great deal of beautiful interiors, both contemporary and old - also many of the noble and historic houses. Highly recommend this book.

If you get this book for round about £20 then it's worth buying. If you pay more, you may be disappointed. If one buys a book specifically about Venetian interiors. you want pictures that are soaked in the atmosphere of Venice. And SOME of these interiors are. But there are other homes ... that could be anywhere. Minimalist - what has minimalism to do with the divine melange of Venice?Other interiors books on Venice - Living in Venice, for example, had chapters on interiors that were successful because they contained the essence of the city - the home of the actress Valentina Cortese, for example. But I didn't buy a book on Venetian interiors to witness how some soulless professionals can stamp out the atmosphere of an interior and fill it with ugly, uncomfortable furniture.But, again, there are a few interiors here worth spending money to view. And there are some delightful shots of the city itself- but then, the book isn't called Venice Interiors AND exteriors ...

it is a beautiful book with great photos, showing the lifestyle of people living in this city, i especially like it because i have visited italy many times and like the furniture and classical things of italy.
