It is not a matte finish! Its still shiny.

Take note that the bottle is mini, I did not realize. With that being said the quality is great! I use this for my peel-off nail method.

So my pointy finger and ring finger have the matte finish on them. I would say yes it gives it a somewhat matte look but compared to my middle finger that has a normal top coat from this same brand, it is very different in finish. Now the picture is of nails that are a week old and I am a teacher so my hands and nails see some daily damage. This brand does make great quality gel polish and it is my go to brand. I have it 4 stars because of the look of the finish is not matte enough, there should be no shine at all for a matte finish.

I have way cheaper matte that works a lot better, this leaves shine and it's a bottle for tiny people.
