Rules for Writers, 7th Edition

This book has helped me while in college and still continues to be a big part of my life

I took my Eng-200 during the covid lockdown(I wouldn't Recommend taking this class online). Needless to say, without having the professor there to answer my many questions, this book was a lifesaver. Note: I'm 60 yr. old going back to school. This book helped me tremendously and I still find myself reaching for it when I have a question dealing with writing.

I was required to have this book for both Writing in the Liberal Arts classes when I first started college. I was eager to sell it after the courses was over. Big mistake. I have since then purchased another copy, and plan on keeping it forever. This book serves as a refresher course for students who have taken any English class, and will help them to write better. Used and older books of this copy are just fine if you are skeptical about paying $40.00 for a brand new copy. Just be aware that there are important revisions, and you should find out what they are.

I was expecting a paper back with a normal spine, but this is actually a spiral bound book. I consider the spiral bound much easier to use because it takes up less desk space. :) The layout Diana Hacker chose to use is useful, but I've found some issues in finding specific material for citing sources using the index to navigate the book. Once I did find the correct information, it was of understandable quality. Negatives: Challenging (But not impossible) to find specific information within a section. Positives: Spiral Bound Good quality of information

I started a new english class at school and I havent been in an english class in many years, so I thought this book was going to be boring and useless. However, going through this book in class has helped me sooooo much! Because of this book i've been receiving awesome grades on all my essays and research papers. It helps you with different style formats for writing different papers. I was thinking about re-selling it back on amazon but I am keeping this book. This book will help me through out my life!! I just have one complaint, the coil binding rips the papers easily! im very careful with mine and have seen some tears in the pages, but its something that I can live with.

This book is great, it will help anybody pass their English classes. It offers an inside tips on the English language, that so many of us Speak , but the grammars is really hard to master. I have towo versions of this book and this one is the most complete.

I purchased this book for a class my son was taking. The book was shipped and arrived on time. Had a small problem with the book and the seller was excellent at resolving the problem. I wouldn't hesitate to buy from them again and in fact I had another transaction with them at the same time. My son has been able to use the book for his class with no problems at all.

i bought this book use with one day shipping. if it was for the label on it that read used i would have guessed i made a mistake and bought them new. amazing condition looks perfectly new. the label even says acceptable, may i just say that is false because this books looks as if no one ever touched it. Thank you

I bought this book for a class I took in college, and still use it as a reference whenever I want to check grammar, etc. It's a very easy book to follow, and I really like the small size and ring binding because I can fold the book into half and it doesn't take up much space. Great for anyone learning English, and as a reference to anyone using the English language.

Great book, doesn't give all the answers for all the exercises though.

A must have for college students and writers in general. Glad I bought it.
