I give it a 5 star rating because it looks like a good product and may be usable for small quantities of meat. I cook a lot of meat for gatherings and special occasions, so this will not be usable for me. I am returning it not because is a bad product but is too small for working on large amounts. 09/04 update; I end up keeping it because I needed it ASAP. I made the right decision and this tool did a perfect job! I am super happy with it. I do recommend to everyone.

Great and cheap

It's not super well made, and i didn't expect it for the price, it's functional. I won't use it very frequently, if I did, I suspect the quality of the manufacturing would bother me. The handle isn't smooth. But balanced price and expectations make it a good value

This is good if you need to break up fibers in the meat to more evenly cook it or whatever. And I’d say the weight is good so it tenderizes it nicely and you don’t have to go hammering your chicken. It came with weird water spots though. Like hard water spots. But otherwise I like this.

This meat tenderizer was a gift for a family member. It’s solid aluminum so it does have a sturdy construction and will serve its purpose. As described and received quickly.

Too small I have big hands

This meat mallet was the closest one I could find to my older one that had worn down points. The points on this mallet are pointy with two sizes of points for flattening meat. It is also heavy enough to make significant dents in the meat to tenderize it. I recommend this purchase.
