Extra outlet is nice, even the lowest power one is bright; gets a little warm
Works great for what I need. Has both a hook (which rotates to any angle you need) and a magnet. I wish the magnet were a *little* stronger, but it's certainly not weak and is enough to hold the device. It's more for times the metal surface isn't perfectly straight, so I can't make a perfect connection with the magnet; it'll hold for a while and then fall. This isn't a fault with the device, really, and if you can place the magnet properly/flush it's pretty secure. Having the outlet on the bottom is very nice, especially if you're working somewhere that you're using a long extension cord to get power there. Being able to plug in a fan or electric tool right where you are without any adapters or power strips is great. The outlet supplies power even when the light it turned off. I got the lowest power variant at 1200 lumens and it is more than bright enough. If this is something you want for an engine bay or localized work areas, it's plenty. It's enough to easily light up an entire dark room. I would only get the more powerful ones if you're working in a already-lit room and still need a ton of extra brightness. It gets pretty warm to the touch after being on for a while. There's a voice in the back of my head that makes me turn it off after an hour or so to be safe, but it's probably designed with this in mind and I haven't experienced any issues related to it (no melting, smoking, etc). I'm also cautious when working around oil/flammable chemicals, but you should act cautiously around them no matter what. I'm fairly confident this would not ignore them, and I don't feel any heat from the light itself; just the unit body. Still, better safe than sorry. If you're like me and prefer to work at night because it's stupid hot out and you aren't lucky enough to have a indoor/air conditioned garage, this thing is perfect. It's not too expensive, it doesn't feel cheap, even the lowest-tier one gives off a bunch of light, the cable is premium and at a good length, and the built-in outlet adds a lot of convenience. I can't see a reason to go with anything else.

Who needs a rechargeable when you can buy a RELIABLE?
Who needs a rechargeable light when you can own a RELIABLE plug-in LED with a 20 ft. cord? Purchased in June, it is a splendid addition to my garage, and I even use it for any projects around the house, like plumbing work underneath the sink. 1200 Lumens is more than enough when working under the hood of your vehicle. This is quality made for you and me. Until next time, it is hanging with pride on the wall of my garage.

Bright light, seems pretty durable.
Glad I -didn't- get the brighter one. This is more than bright enough for my usage. If you worked on heavy equipment or semi's you might be able to use the brighter one. Way brighter than I thought it would be. It lights up everything in its path but is blinding if you look directly or even indirectly at it. Say, if you have the light on the floor and you're looking from the top at something near it it's actually hard to see what you looking for. The LED has a fairly flat surface so there is no edge to block it than if it was indented a bit into the light base like most lights. It has almost a 180 degree light path so there is nothing to block the main light from the sides. The magnet on the back of the base will hold its own weight if you attach it to anything metal and flat. It actually sticks pretty good to larger round or rusty flat-ish stuff on my 70 year old truck. I can even wind up the cord to the light and sticks to my lift great. The main diss is the short light cord. I have a car lift and the plug-in is on the one side and the light can barely reach the opposite side of the car if the car is on the ground without draping it over the car or throwing it under the car. I guess you could spend more money on maybe a 10' extension cord. I used a cord off of a dead vacuum cleaner on my older even shorter corded drop light and worked great. I just put a female end on the old vacuum cord and zip tied them together so they wouldn't come apart. Cheap dedicated extension cord I guess. Looks like I'll be doing that again.

Magnet wasn't strong
Pros: The brightness of this light is fantastic and surpasses any of the lights I've owned before. It's a great replacement for an old bulb work light. T The product is of good quality, nicely built, and appears as though it will last a lifetime. It has multiple ways to hang, including two hooks (one on the top and one on the bottom) and a magnetic base located on the back. The hook is great, and I like that it has a long cord. Cons: The magnet is not as strong as I would like and often struggles to support the weight of the light itself. The price is a little high, but if it lasts as long as it appears it will, then it's worth the investment.

A good solid back up to all my chargeable lights and bonus to have additional outlet built into it. The magnet holds well. I find myself using this more and more.
