This listing says "NEW model" I don't see a difference from this model and any of their other ones. Is there a difference?

My old unit, which I have had for over 7 years, you had to pump it up then twist to secure it. The new pump is great. All you have to do is pump it up and no twist is needed. Just put it gently on floor next to you then when ready to release just push little release button to release. Hope this is helpful.

how does it work exactly please ?

You lie down on your back with your neck in the device. There is a head strap to keep you from sliding out of it. There is an adjustment for the angle of your neck. There is a bladder in the device that holds air. As you inflate it with the pump the hidden air bladder pushes the headrest away from your shoulders applying traction to your neck. There is a pressure gauge on the pump so you can produce the desired traction. It works extremely well.

This says it's a cervical traction unit, but when you read the description about it, it only mentions lumbar. Why is that?

This is for the neck, the cervical spine. It will help to stretch your neck . Great for patients with a herniated and bulging disk. Always check with your Dr and Chiropractor to make sure you are cleared to do neck traction. That is important.

How does it differ from the Saunders model and which one is better ?

Both are good. This one from Comfortrac some patients say it's more comfortable and has better padding. Most people go with the one that they have used in the past in therapy.
