For me, the texture and the resistance of this ball make it superior to hard plastic, spikey balls for relief of pain. I use it mostly on the soles of my feet, but it's also great for "pin and stretch" -style, self-myofascial release on my forearms and the palmar surface of my hands.

I found this ball in my local gym and I had to have one of my own. This is a fantastic ball to use not only on your feet but pressed up against a wall... works my shoulder and neck muscles. After a workout, I use it at the gym and anytime I start to feel tension in my shoulders. This ball is fairly hard so it can stand some pressure. The bumps are not pointy at all. They are more rounded and thus feels better on the back, shoulders and lower back muscles. It really gets into my shoulder blades. Like having my own mini-personal massage therapist at the ready. If your feet are tired, use on the plantar surface for a wonderful foot massage. I pack it on vacation. Use it after sitting on a plane - what a difference! Worth the money.

If you have poor circulation in lower extremities, get this foot massager. It works and feels good on the bottom of your feet.

This is larger than the another type that we have. This is more comfortable to use. The larger diameter is also more comfortable. It's worth the extra money.

I bought this years ago and have tried many others since. None do all the things this ball does. This ball IS ALL YOU NEED. Let me tell you that this ball is PERFECT. The material, firmness, plyability, and spacing of the nubs could not have been executed better. [There is a knock off of this ball and it is too hard and nubs are too closely spaced]. If I was given a choice between any ball out there, I would take this one. It does it all! And at 18$ it is a steal. I have had mine for 12 years and it is still going. I am back though to buy one for a friend.

I'm mostly using this to roll out some problem areas in my glutes and hips and find it to be a great size, firmness, and texture for this. Lacrosse balls are too hard and the super squishy myofascial release balls are too gentle for me. The nubby texture is stimulating without being too spiky, and there's just enough "give." That said, it's about triple the price of similar options. I don't know why there aren't more similar options!

I just place between my back and a yoga mat and move around. It seems to help a lot. Not a Miracle but very good for a ball. Im sure if i used it more consistently I would see better or faster results. I recommend this size ball!
