Brilliant Colors
These are brilliant pencils, literally.... The colors are full of pigment and just hard enough to be able to color very fine detail as well as soft enough to easily color large areas. They were reviewed by Peta who was so surprised at how wonderful they actually are..... I am telling you honestly, "I love these pencils"

Progresso Woodless Color Pencils 24 set
I really had to adjust to these pencils because every time I dropped one it would break in half. Then I realized that I could sharpen the other half and still use the pencil. So, now I would highly recommend them because their color is so vibrant~if you love to sketch like I do they are wonderful~great for the children, too.

Beautiful Colors That Flow Smoothly Onto the Page
I bought this set of 24-colored woodless pencils on a whim at the local craft store (I had a 40% off coupon.) I love the array of colors, the way the smooth pencil feels in my hand and the manner in which the color flows onto the paper with just a light touch. They feel so different and so much more professional than the traditional cheap set of colored pencils that you usually buy for kids. The pencils are packed in 2 plastic divided trays that slide into a cardboard sleeve, protecting the tips and allowing you to keep them in perfect OCD order by color.I'm glad I read the other reviews regarding how easily the pencils break, and I will now be sure to keep them away from children and clumsy people :)I believe the company makes a 48-color set, and I may be saving up my pennies to acquire even more colors so that I can pursue my fledgling sketching hobby.I have posted a full color image of the lineup of beautiful pencils.

Mostly Superior to Prismacolor
Progresso woodless colored pencils are professional grade artists pencils . They are not intended for the hands of children . ( I do mean that in the nicest possible way ! )I bought one of these on a whim at my local art supply store . I was back before the days end to buy a multipack . Progresso delivers a huge punch of color with little effort . These 'pencils' blend easily , though they don't hold a sharp point as long as traditional colored pencils. The upside is that they sharpen much easier . I have read other reviews of similar products that have said these types of pencils are fragile , but I have yet to experience any problem . In fact the ammount of color per woodless -vs- traditional is greater when you factor in replacing wood pencils with internally shattered leads . The barrels are slightly shorter than average , but shouldn't pose an issue unless you have really large hands .I'd recommend these in tandem with a set of Verithins or gel pens for outlining .

Amazing
I was in an art store to get some painting supplies and I was wandering around looking at all the other intriguing things. I came across these progresso pencils so I tested them and loved them! Although there are only 24 colors, as opposed to other regular colored pencil sets, you don't need a lot. They're incredibly smooth so they blend very easily and seem to just flow onto the paper. They're long, completely usable tips allow you to color sideways to cover more space or have a different effect. The only downside is how fragile they are. If you drop them, they break, but that shouldn't be too much of a problem considering they are used for drawing, not sports. If they are taped, they are just as well, so there are ways to compromise if something should happen. Highly recommended. I love mine and have all 24.
