It’s temperature controlled and also water doesn’t smell plastic due to main unit glass made.Before I use to boil water then wait till it’s bit cold out, as best flavour for orange tea around 70 degrees , above that gives burned taste. With this kettle I can set temperature to 70 and once it reaches to set temperature it switches off and I don’t have to wait it to cool down.Temperature can be set up 70, 80, 85, 90, 95 and 100. It also keeps water in set temperature.It has tea container metal mesh, which can be placed inside of kettle, ideal if used only for tea. I’m personally not using it as don’t want tea flavour settled inside of the kettle. As I do have a coffee as well on 90° set up and don’t want tea flavour mix to coffee taste. Also when add water to coffee above 90° Degree it will burn. So I heat up the water to ideal temperature of the tea and brew it into the teapot. But if person doesn’t make coffee then internal tea holder mesh can be used constantly.Well designed, looks nice and also quick boils the waiter.Overall temperature perfectly well controlled kettle. This kettle is quite versatile . I use it mainly for infused green and flowering teas , which usually tends to taste a little bitter if they`re left in boiled water . Usually I find the following instruction on the tea packs " use freshly boiled water cooled down to 80 degrees " which is a easy task to achieve with this kettle .On the other hand , can be used at full blast , for black tea lovers which is on the other extreme of water temperature recommendations .It`s not only suitable to infuse loose teas , thanks to the strainer basket , which is detachable , but can be used as a normal kettle to boil water for different reasons around the house .

I bought this kettle to use at work. This is a good size with a 1.7l capacity. My colleagues use it as a normal kettle but I use it as a tea maker as I love my tea. The tea infuser is a very good addition to this kettle and provides a really good brew. It simply works great as a normal kettle and tea brewer and my colleagues have been really impressed with it especially the 1500W quick boil feature. As its got a glass body its very easy to clean which is another great feature of this kettle. The 60 minute auto keep warm feature is another really really good feature of this kettle so for all of the above reasons I have to give this 5 stars.

Nice looking kettle. Seems well built and for the money has some nice features.The temperature setting button is a little small and fiddly to set but once you get the hang of it, becomes quite easy. Fast and quiet boil, the “ tea making “ settings are very cool. I haven’t tried loose tea yet but using tea bags works very well and it keeps the water at a constant temperature which makes it great for a few nice cups. Do remember to take the tea bag out though otherwise it will of course stew.It may be me but using this to make tea as opposed to simply boiling and pouring over the bag does give a different taste.I’ll try it with coffee one time but think that may “ flavour “ the pot and cause the tea afterwards to taste funny

The kettle does not feel cheap. It's fit and finish is high, with the possible exception of the infuser, which is a tube made from very thin sheet metal.We don't use the infuser, but the kettle and predefined temperature settings are great.So far, it seems that the keep warm function is only for the temperature settings _below_ 100 degrees, which is fine.After pouring from temperatures 70 - 95, you need to tap the switch to stop it. It's easy to see though, as it glows blue at this stage.A nice touch is that the temperature display shows the current temperature while boiling, so you can make a coffee at 95 deg. from the water while it's on it's way up to 100 deg. for a cup of tea.

I am a tea and coffee person so this electric kettle is perfect for me. It takes very little time to boil water and it has auto-shut off feature to prevent any unwanted incidents. I find it easy to use and clean, which is a great plus. It has a digital display to show the temperature numbers. It looks more expensive than it is. My next-door neighbour who comes in the morning to have coffee with me said she will get one too. I believe it's a must-have in every kitchen.

Only just received this so my review is based solely on testing the kettle to make sure it is working. This looks a lovely kettle and you can see that the water starts to heat immediately from the little bubbles and temperature gauge. I live in a hard water area and it’s a shame that the kettle does not come with a filter on the spout to limit any limescale but to be fair the instructions do advise descaling on a regular basis and provide guidance on how to do this. On the negative side the website is appalling. I tried to register for the additional year warranty following the instructions on the leaflet enclosed to find the page does not exist. I then tried to register through the site menu but the site could not find anything when searching for “tea maker” or “kettle”.

We've used loose leaf tea and ground coffee in this so far, and both have come out great.It's not the fastest kettle in the world, but it is the quietist one we've had for many years.Nice selection of temps (70, 80, 85, 90, 95 100c), perfect for those of us that have different black, green and herbal teas.The stay hot feature works a treat (I'm even tempted to try boiling eggs in it...but I wont), and it's all pretty simple to clean.No funny or metalic flavours, so you only get what you want, hot water or whatever drink you decide to make in it.It looks great too!For £27 it's a great buy, even if it goes back up to £35+ I'd still say it's worth it..
