LEGO TECHNIC Drag Racer 42050 Building Kit

This Lego Technic Drag Racer was very fun to build. It took approximately 5 hours to build (I was taking my time and enjoying the build) It's really cool to watch some of the mechanism you build come together into a fully functioning toy. Only ting you have to be careful about is the direction book, in some case the gray pieces look like the black pieces and can cause some confusion. Overall, great product and fun build!

Love the end product but instructions could be better, some steps were not even shown and you had to look at the picture to find where the other pieces went. I was also missing a piece which didn't affect the build but it did upset me since the price I paid. I will always love lego and this line is awesome.

Interesting model with challenging gear works. Two complaints. One, the instruction booklet was placed in the box without protective cardboard and not in a plastic bag and had strong folds and creases and dog ears (most likely created by the bags of elements during shipping). I seriously considered sending the model back because of damaged instruction manual! Two, in the version with the power functions the battery box placement looks like a complete afterthought and takes away of the visual appeal of the car. Also the engine is not powerful enough, car moves at a snail's pace. The model version with the power functions combination was a disappointment.

I am a big fan of the Lego Technic series. I am a bit biased and I can't seem to come up with any defects for it. Great educational toy for kids to teach how stuff works in the mechanical world. The power functions module adds wings to the product as it takes it beyond basic. I mixed it up with the remote control that we get from another lego technic product and we use it to guide the vehicle around the house.

This thing is awesome. It's absolutely unique and looks fabulous. Totally captures the look of a supercharged drag racer built around a giant V8. So glad I got it. If you're on the fence, get it soon before the price goes up even more! You won't regret it, if you have even a slight appreciation for muscle cars and drag racing. This is a fun build that won't take too long and still looks very cool.

I got this for my boyfriend and he absolutely loved it! He loves the Lego Technic and this was the perfect gift for a child at heart.

Lego Technics are always a great set for us. Love that they have moving parts, great builds, and can make more than one thing. Only complaint is to build the other things it can turn into you have to download and print the instruction booklet.

Bought it as a gift for our grandson. We were disappointed to realize that although it indicates on the box: 2 in ONE .... there were instructions just for one..... AND in a very tiny print on the very left bottom corner of the box, in the back.... there was a statement that if you wish to get the instructions for the 2nd OPTION TO BE BUILT you should go to LEGO's website, download it and PRINT IT YOURSELF.....!!!! So, taking into account that you need it to be printed in color.... and there is a substantial number of pages...... you should add to the $50 priceof the LEGO ...... a $35 or more..... for the colored cartridges of your printer. (If you own a printer...... )
