Case Closed, Vol. 1

Sets up character motives and gives you a couple great mysteries to go with! A must read for all mystery fans.

This is a great series for children in the US at about 12 and up. It is a detective story that goes over lots of different types of cases their is nothing to graphic in it, well compared to the news, or some US kids tv shows. I highly recommend reading it with your kids and seeing as the author did as well try to solve the case before Conan/Jimmy can. If you do not have any kids it is still worth the read, it can be a bit childish at times. But if you still watch Gundum, SpongeBob, or well any thing on Cartoon Network then you will still enjoy this. Or if you just like well written detective stories this is a good one. Their are some mistakes here and their but nothing story ruining.

Buy all the Case Closed books for my grandson. He loves them all. Bought vol. 1 by mistake since he wanted vol. 94. Gave it away and now they love it too.

I was surprised they changed the names of the main characters to English names like in the Funimation dub, but it was a fun read.

I love Detective Conan. It is probably one of my favorite mangas along Dragon Ball. The english release is well, very americanized. I don't get it why they have to change the name of the characters to english version, and to be honest, stupid ones. "Jimmy Jackson" I don't like it, but I knew that when I was buying this manga, so well, it is just a flaw from the translation and adaptation. The manga itself is very good, the story and the book.

Good book for kids who like to read for fun.

Was a great buy, was really craving to get my hands on this series and try climbing to the 70-ish volumes that are out in English, looks great in well kept condition and arrived in a timely fashion.

I really liked this book. I chose five stars because I wanted to read until the end. A very good start with the books

英語の勉強を漫画でしたい人にはこれが一番よいと思います。 犯人を推理していくので、文章の量も多く、論理的です。論理的な文章が多いのでわからない表現があっても文脈で推測が容易です。また、小説と異なり絵があるのでそれも意味を推測する手助けになります。 他にも英語に翻訳された漫画はありますが、戦闘ものだと叫び声などが多くて肝心の英文が少ないです。 また、コナン自体も老若男女が楽しめる漫画であるので読んでいて楽しめることももちろん魅力の一つです。 読んでいてつまらないものは学習効率は低いですので、自分が楽しめるものを選ぶことを勧めます。

I remember reading this is school, Felled in love with the manga (or just books as I called them back in school), the library only had volumes 1-6 so sadly my excitement was put on whole... Until I was recommended the anime show (case closed English dub) and instantly the magic came back, and now I'm collecting the manga one by one :) I'd recommend reading the manga and watching the anime (dubbed and then subbed version). Just to let you know the dubbed is only done up to the 6 season I believe so you have to watch the rest in subbed (called Detective Conan)
