So helpful when discussing important topics!
My fiancé and I absolutely loved using this book while preparing for engagement! It was one of my favorite parts of our dates. We would do 5 questions at a time and it always created great conversations.

Essential Guide for Building a Strong Foundation
I picked up "101 Questions to Ask Before You Get Engaged" with the hope of deepening my relationship and preparing for marriage—and it delivered beyond my expectations! This book is an incredible resource for couples who want to ensure they’re on the same page before taking the next big step. The questions cover everything from personal values, finances, and family dynamics to communication, intimacy, and future goals. What I loved most is how the book encourages honest, open discussions. My partner and I discovered things we hadn't thought to talk about, even after being together for years. It helped us address potential challenges in a proactive and thoughtful way.The variety of questions is impressive—some are light and fun, while others delve into the deeper aspects of commitment. It’s not just about finding out if you're compatible but also about learning how to communicate effectively and build a strong foundation together. This guide is perfect for anyone considering engagement, whether you’ve been together for a short time or a long time. It will open up meaningful conversations and help you both understand each other on a deeper level. I highly recommend it to any couple looking to strengthen their bond before taking the next step!

Certainly takes your relationship to the next level!
My boyfriend and I got this book to help us get to know each other a little better, and it certainly did! However, I would warn Christian couples who are each other's first loves about a couple of things. My boyfriend and I have a very unconventional relationship by modern standards and have really taken things more like they did back in the days of the pioneers, so there were a few questions in here(very much geared towards modern unmarried couples) that made us very uncomfortable and which we considered inappropriate questions until after marriage. Overall, though, it was a lot of help in taking our relationship to the next level and helping us to know each other just a little better before we take the next step and commit to each other for the rest of our lives! It also has several questions designed to help you spot red flags in each other, and how to work through those things, if they're something you're willing to work through. It really is a well thought out book, and I loved that there were scriptures written into several of the explanations!

Third time was the charm
I bought this book a long time ago when I was in a long term relationship but wasn’t sure about my future with my partner. Halfway through these questions this, along with many other signs, made me realize we were wayyy too incompatible. I used this book again about a year into my next relationship. Brought up some really good conversations and seemed to address anything, but he got cold feet after it all because he still wasn’t sure about marriage and we really had nothing else to discuss so he ended things. Used it again in my current relationship. This time it helped us both confirm we are more compatible than we even bought before. Getting married later this year!!! Many people shy away from the conversations this book brings up but they are important to have. Yes, you can look up similar kinds of questions online, but I think nothing really beats working through a paper book and actually completing something physical together.

This is a Christian book.
Was looking for a secular book based around psychological principles for healthy relationships. Maybe I didn’t do enough research into the authors, but nothing in the description or marketing material of this book specified that it was written for Christian couples. That may be a plus for you, but for me it was quite frustrating when I suddenly came upon the first blatantly religious question. The advice/questions are mostly decent. I have issues with some of the more religious ones (such as those that could potentially encourage someone to stay in a toxic marriage) and I did notice that some of the questions in this book seem to be slight variations on previous questions. Almost as if the author was running out of important questions to ask, but needed to get to that magic 101 number, so they began to rework previous questions with more detail or a different approach.Overall, the book has led to some very meaningful discussions between my significant other and myself, so I can’t say it isn’t working as intended. I just wish it was more apparent that this book it written from a Christian perspective on marriage and relationships.

This book is phenomenal
This is book is on my top five books I’ve read on this topic. I would say it’s a heavy book, I thought it was gonna be a book I read in a day. But nope haha it has some really intense questions which is awesome. Because one day I’ll be asking my future husband these questions but for right now I am asking myself these questions. And some of the questions I’ve not thought about for my own self , but the questions are really helps with self introspection. This book is even great for married people because there are questions in here that I am sure a lot of people never asked their spouse. And it’s a really great conversation starter!
