Our 3 year old and 19 month old love this toy. The keys and key hole are different shapes and coordinate with the color of the box. Though our 3 year old can open the square and triangle doors no problem and is still mastering the third door in the shape of a crescent moon. Our 19 month has just started opening the square and triangle boxes and they both love putting the shapes in with the boxes and sorts them out. This has been a hit from day one and I’ll be picking this up for other parents when their kid has a birthday party. This is a toy that gets played with daily. We do toy rotation in our house and this one hasn’t been put away because they haven’t been burnt out or bored with it. A win win!

Such a really neat toy. Big hit with both my 14-month-old and three-year-old! Actually even my five year old likes to play with the locks! So very versatile and we are really happy with it! Great quality too. I will say the keys came on a plastic ring rather than the cute wooden one pictured which I like better but overall fabulously designed toy!

My son was curious about this toy right out of the box. He really enjoys the key ring and dropping the shapes into their matching slots. He hasn’t quite mastered unlocking the doors yet but it gives him something to work on!

My 19m old loves this toy, however I’m knocking off a star because I received 3 blue circles instead of 3 red squares. This would be fine but the number of shapes is painted on the plastic so it could be confusing if you were using that as a guide. Also, the pieces are choking hazards. My daughter can fit them in her mouth so this toy can only be enjoyed when she is very closely monitored!

This felt well made and all my keys matched my colors and shapes.

My toddlers love this. Great for sorting, counting and working on fine motor skills.

I love the quality of the wood, and the clear panel on the back, but the keys are too difficult to use. Even an adult fumbles with them to get them just right. My 20 month old, who is testing way above average for fine motor skills, is completely unable to figure out the keys. And unfortunately the doors won't stay closed without being locked. I like the shape shorting and basic counting, so I hope we can eventually understand the keys before the need for these materials is outgrown. As a mom of three little Montessorians, I suspect this will be a toy that doesn't make much sense in our lineup for the order of milestones. I will have to modify it for now.

Well made and functional, but a little too challenging for a 1 year old. Description on Amazon says 12 months and up, but the box says 18 months and up. Good Montessori toy for the appropriate age.

Acquistato per mio nipote che compiva 1anno. Contento perché gioca spesso con le chiavi. Poi il materiale in legno è conveniente rispetto alla plastica. È un buon gioco Montessori

Ma fille l'adore, elle a 12 mois donc elle ne gère pas encore les clés mais on lui laisse les portes ouvertes et elle s'amuse à les ouvrir et les fermer. L'article est de très bonne qualité, elle a déjà mis les pièces à la bouche et la peinture n'a pas bougé pour le moment ! Je le recommande fortement.
