I have quite a few 4X8 foot raised beds with closely spaced vegetable plants and this little weeder is perfect for getting in between these plants.

This is an easy to use weeder that can be pushed or pulled to cut weeds off just below the ground surface in most situations. It's a good width so it's very good for precise weeding and yet can clear a larger area quickly. We've used it all season without sharpening. It's been sturdy and effective. If you've liked using a bow weeder in the past, you'll really like this weeder for it's precision weeding. Pulling the weeder is more precise near plants you want to keep. We used it to weed directly below watermelon, squash, and cantaloupe plants without having to disturb the vines. The wooden handle is light weight, yet sturdy enough for years of normal use. I really like it.

Best weeder on the market. I have worn out 3 of these. Makes yard work in the beds and garden a breeze.

This is perfect for precise, close-up weeding when you really want to control what you are whacking. For example, an established garden area where you go out once every couple of weeks or so and clean up between the plants. I am not good with a long-handled hoe, so I use this and a garden stool. I used it this spring for my 35 x 5' foundation border to clean up the early weeds that arrived as winter ended. It took me about two hours. You can pull the hoe through the dirt just under the surface to chop off fine grass, etc. Or, you can use the sharp ends of the "wings" to dig in to get the entire root of a stubborn weed. It is not for standing up and mass-hoeing a large area that is overgrown with grass and weeds. I will probably order more for gifts, and maybe one the next size up since I like this one so well.
