Bad Girls

I can't believe I like EVERY song on this cd! Each song blends nicely into the next and most of the songs have that mystical 70's groove that is a magical experience to hear. I especially like the songs "Walk Away", "Cant Get 2 Sleep At Nite", "My Baby Understands", and "Sunset People" It's cool to hear this album for the first time in the year 2009. This is a classic and can't wait 2 hear it again.

If you're a fan of Donna Summer, you know she will deliver music with CLASS! I am amazed that this record is 30+ years old and still sounds as if it were released just recently. I like the little bit of rock guitar she incorporated in some of the track. The brass section is excellent, and the Moroder-Faltermeyer synth powerhouse is in full force with the electronica songs, but not overbearing. I'm not crazy about the ballads, but I still force myself to listen to them anyway because Donna sings them so beautifully. 'Hot Stuff', 'Bad Girls', and ' Dim All The Lights' are stand out classics, of course, I love the horns and sax on 'Journey to the Center of Your Heart', and 'Our Love' sounds so fresh it almost seems like it was recorded only a couple years ago. If you want grown-folks R&B, this is the album to purcahse.

This is a fabulous mix of my favorite Donna Summer's best songs.I was so glad I could sample each song, because I wanted the best mix of my favorites that I always danced to at many clubs. I found this to be the best , and as always, found it at the best price at Amazon. It was shipped to me in mint condition, and I received it promptly. I'm having great memories listening to it often ! Don't miss this big time sound from the Queen of Disco !

Bad Girls by Donna Summer Vinyl: I received my order a lot quicker than I expected, it was definitely a surprise. The entire album sounds wonderful and it is in great condition. The album cover shows a little wear and tear but it doesn't matter, the vinyl itself had been well preserved. Thank You!!

I’ve always liked Donna but didn’t know she wrote a lot or this, her big commercially successful album. Made me respect her even more.

Have you ever wondered why some albums are completely timeless. One listen to Bad Girls and you'll understand that this album is one of the all time greatest in it's genre. Non R&B, Rock and Disco here with one of the greatest voices, period! Get this album and try not to dance, sing and move around like a serpent in your house. Plenty of cheap copies so go ahead and ad it to your collection.

Donna Summer already had something of a reputation and back catalogue by the time Bad Girls was unleashed like a wild beast onto the music world and popular culture. And she was already widely renowned as the Queen Of Disco! but here was where Donna certified herself not only as the icon she was known for but also as the revolutionary artist that melded Disco with experimental Rock and Synth and made Bad Girls, a record which fans and critics alike have stated as her absolute masterpiece. I was late in buying this album, but for being an 18 year old you must give me credit! But i FINALLY got round to purchasing that amazing opus that is Bad Girls! it really set the trend for the 80's and also remained a statement album of the 70's! Donna's vocals are as ever on top form and the swooing thumpy electronic beats pulsate through the record setting the scene of a gritty tongue in cheek EPIC! Bad Girls is not only the greatest album of the Disco genre, but it is also one of the greatest recordings of all time! Donna literally set a standard with this album and it (as i have proven) is a timeless album which can stand high above many conemporary artists (Beyonce and The Black Eyed Peas should be embarrassed!) this is not only a musical masterpiece but indeed a Disco album that reflects Donna as an artist and a storyteller. This album is an absolute must have in everyone's music collection!

Una stella luminosa, nella produzione discografica della grandissma Donna Summer. Hot Stuff vinse anche il Grammy come miglior brano rock, a testimoniare come l'etichetta di regina della disco e' sempre stata limitata, per lei. Concept album del 1979, 70 minuti di musica (!) in cui Donna appare anche come autrice anche dei testi. Un disco doppio in vinile, all'epoca di successo pazzesco, ben 11 milioni di copie vendute. La sequenza iniziale dei primi 9 brani e' fantastica; un vero manuale di musica eternamente bella da ballare ed ascoltare con piacere. Nell'album, Hot stuff (utilizzato anni dopo per la scena clou nel grande successo cinematografico The full monty) Bad girls, Sunset people e altri brani bellissimi. Essendo estimatore di Donna Summer, fin da quando ero ragazzino, grazie ad Amazon sto man mano completando la raccolta dei vari suoi dischi in cd, relativi al periodo oro della sua attivita', cioe' gli anni '70. E devo dire che, rispetto alle seppur valide varie raccolte, ascoltare un disco interamente, brano dopo brano, cosi come era stato concepito, e' un'altra cosa. Anche perche' negli albums vi sono canzoni bellissime mai incluse nelle compilation. A posteriori, nella carriera di quella fantastica artista quale era Donna, supportata dal magico duo Belotte-Moroder, visti i risultati raggiunti con questo album, la scelta di cambiare in seguito casa discografica non fu forse azzecata, visti I risultati altanelanti della sua produzione anni '80-'90. Consegna puntuale e finalmente un altro grande disco della mitica Regina, da ascoltare tutto in un fiato!

Product arrived ahead of schedule and was new and sealed as advertised. Because this is an earlier pressing of this classic album, the sound was pristine and clear as opposed to the horribly loud and over priced Japanese remasters from 2012. This disc cost me $6.00 CND and is far better sounding than the deluxe edition or any versions that followed. I wish I had of kept my original cd's. If you are a Donna Summer fan, hang on to your original cd's. Don't be fooled by the shiny packaging and the "newly remastered" sticker on the package of the recent re-issues. They're overly loud, compressed and basically, sound like crap. Nothing compares to the flat transfers from the 80's and early 90's.
