Total Russian Foundation Course: Learn Russian with the Michel Thomas Method Audio CD – Audiobook, September 26, 2014

The Michel Thomas Method is really a unique way to learn. I've been using Pimsleur for a couple of years, which is also good, but what I like about the MTM is that it has more explanations of the "hows and whys" behind the language and also stresses pronunciation. So while a lot of what's in here is really basic, you'll get a good understanding of the conventions behind the language which is a very good foundation for more advanced learning. The main reason I bought these was for the interactive CD, which I could not get to work no matter what I tried. There is no technical support, I think the CDs are not being used by MTM any more as the lessons are being done through their website. So I returned the course to the seller. I was very grateful they allowed the return.

This series makes it very easy to learn a language. I have a friend who is Russian, and I've never been able to communicate with her in her own language, so as a show of friendship I decided to try and learn her language so we could chat. I was nervous about learning such a different language at first, but this series is really great, practical, and makes learning feel very natural. I highly recommend this product!

This beats Rosetta Stone by a long shot. I never tried memorizing the material, the instructor makes learning come natural. The audio training puts you in the classroom and it feels like you're part of it.I would highly recommend this, I'm on the second CD and I'm hooked.

Overall a great method to learn. Incomplete in that words are often assumed that have not been introduced.

Very good, but the instructor constantly correcting the students' pronunciation of "здесь",several hundred times in 10 hours was tedious.

Difficult to get into as everything is spoken too quickly to be able to easily understand
