Eucryl Toothpowder Freshmint 50g

I have tried many additions to my toothpaste to try and help keep my teeth white as possible as well as get rid of the annoying plaque build up behind my teeth. I confess that I smoke sometimes and I drink coffee daily(decaf) . I drink a lot of coffee ! Especially in the winter ! No matter how hard I brushed or what kind of toothbrush or toothpaste I used, there was always a yellowing of the teeth and plaque build up behind my teeth ! A few years ago I came across charcoal products and decided to see if they would help. There was coconut and bamboo and mixtures of these charcoal etc. All they did was make a big mess and tasted horrible. I honestly tried many and tried them for a very long time . Nothing ! No results but just a waste of money. I tried other products and I recall one I tried in the last 6 months that really made my teeth look white. Then 10 minutes later back to normal. My best guess is it was some type of white coloring or paste and not cleaning but coloring ! I had all but given up and then I came across this. When I saw it has been used since 1900 I said to myself well if it worked I would of heard of it ! But then I thought too there are some things from the past that worked better that what we have now. We like these fancy colored sparkling toothpaste that promise to do everything under the moon and the convenience they have but often they fall short of what they say they will do . Now don't get me wrong as I still use crest complete and hope it is doing half of what it claims. But I decided to try this as an addition to see if it would work,,,,like,,, what I thought these charcoal powders and creams claimed to do be able to do ! If you follow my reviews then you will see I promised to review this about 3 months ago. I wanted to fully use it and test it for a while before I reviewed it ! Here are the honest results on my teeth ! Yes they are much whiter . But not as white as those people who do that teeth whitening thing AT THE DENTIST! The plaque build up is still there but at least 50% or even more less on the back of my teeth ! Simply said better looking teeth and less plaque at an incredibly low price with a product that works ! So NO I didn't claim teeth white as pearls or complete plaque removal. I do however say my results were whiter teeth and much less plaque ! I am extremely happy with that ! I like the way my teeth look now using this. So here are some tips I found to maximize the results of this product ! I use it every other day to avoid what some helpful reviews were describing as irritating to their gums etc. I brush my teeth as I normally would with my normal tooth paste. Then I floss. This is something important in my opinion because flossing allows, for a lack of a better expression, to let your teeth dry somewhat . Now with your toothbrush cleaned of the toothpaste and a bit drier but still damp, push it deep it in the powder and get a good top coat on the top of your toothbrush ! Then brush as normal but paying attention to the stained areas as well as the places plaque build up is happening ! Your teeth a bit dry from your flossing and then using this powder is making for a incredible cleaning situation ! Something else too I have found by accident that I do want to mention as you are probably reading this for wanting whiter and cleaner teeth ! I came across at the store a mouthwash that was 50% off. It appears to be very expensive at regular price. My spouse used this before I did and said GROSS! Taste like bleach ! (how would one know what bleach taste like unless..?) Anyway I tried it and I THINK I could taste something like peroxide. But I have noticed using this with my Eucryl tooth powder is giving me whiter teeth as best as I can observe ! Now in no way I am endorsing this, but this will probably be my last review on tooth powder as I am very happy with this tooth powder and see no reason to try a another one ! The name of the mouthwash is Crest 3D WHITE Multi-Care Whitening Mouthwash. As I said is too early to tell but I am thinking yes. In conclusion I would very much appreciate any feedback of what others have found to be something useful and perhaps better than the above mentioned. This is my first experience with Eucryl Tooth Powder. So far it seems to work well. The mint flavor is nice, no bad after taste. I would recommend giving it a try. 9/28/13 update - Have been using this for a while and thought I would update. My dental Hygienist said my teeth looked great at my last cleaning. She said to keep doing whatever I have been doing. I have bad teeth and smoke and drink coffee and tea. This powder leaves your teeth shiny and smooth and clean feeling. It is not a super deep cleaning but for what you can buy and use yourself, I think it is great and well worth using. Used regularly, you will see a difference and love the feel and shiny look of your teeth!

Love this! Gets staining off

I've used this for a few weeks now and it's probably very important to mention that I used it with top of the line sonicare tooth brush. Sonicare offers very high frequency vibration and probably the best cleaning action out there. It certainly beats any type of manual brushing regardless of toothbrush head type used. I've used it quite consistently as well. I can't say it's a top notch performer by any means. the powder has rather unusual pasty after-feel, not the crisp, clean and "polished" one. It has a minty flavor which is OK, it does the trick as far as that goes. The texture is a bit too fine and pasty/powdery in my opinion because it doesn't allow for a very good scrubbing and stain removal action. It feels more dry and powdery plus foamy at the same time. One thing I most dislike about it is that when mixed with water or saliva, it tends to break down quickly and delivers mostly foaming action rather than continuous scrubbing with a hint of gentle abrasiveness. That is probably why it doesn't remove the stains as well. I also don't have heavily stained teeth either so I am not sure that this could do anything for someone with more serious tobacco or coffee stains. It is definitely not the same as the dentist buffing paste that has more grainy feel to it for better polishing and stain removing action. I guess you get what you pay for applies to this product. I can't say I would recommend or buy again.

I lost a front tooth and am getting an implant. Well I wanted my teeth to be as white as possible before it was placed (those things are expensive!), so I started to research. I had a professional laser whitening treatment from my dentist a few years back that did *nothing*. Seriously, nobody noticed that stupid four hundred dollar treatment. So because I'm a slow learner I went to another dentist and got these pricey little tooth trays with formula that foamed up and made me drool like a rabid animal so I would lock myself in the bathroom while doing this...and guess what? Nobody noticed again because my teeth looked exactly the same. So I have tried OTC whitening strips that also did nothing but waste my time and money when I again had to lock myself in the bathroom because I had to bare back my lips like a rabid animal once again. So I sure wasn't going that route. I researched and came up with my little plan, which actually worked. My husband says my teeth light up the room now LOL. And I see a huge difference. So here's the little plan: 1. A sonic toothbrush on the 'whitening' mode. 2. Using a whitening toothpaste (I use Crest 3D, though I'm sure others work as well). A. I add Arm & Hammer Whitening Booster with the whitening toothpaste. I brush my teeth this way 2x a day. 3. Crest 3D whitening mouthwash 2x day. 4. Eucryl once a week on the whitening mode. 5. Ultrapro Tx Tooth Stain Remover Tooth Polish once a week. That's the basic plan, I also floss, use a intradental toothbrush, and the water pick every single danged night, and of course professional cleanings at the dentist. Now that my teeth are white enough to make me happy, I no longer use the whitening setting on the sonic brush, and use the tooth stain remover polish only once a month, and the Eucryl maybe every 10 days to every other week. I don't want to take off too much enamel! This maintenance seems to be working, as my teeth are staying white. It might not work if your teeth are sensitive, or you don't have much enamel. I'm not a dental expert, so just sharing the little plan that worked for me. Finally. Without having to take out a loan or looking like a rabid critter. I didn't even have to lock myself in the bathroom. =P

I actually like this stuff..it really does make my teeth look whiter and feel cleaner. I use twice a week, as recommended. It seems a little 'old school', meaning this is to tooth powder what Shinola is to shoe polish. The ingredients are on the box, which I immediately threw away, partly because I don't want to know if/how horrible it is for me. Read something about aluminum and that usually isn't great. I was really hoping to find a tooth polish like what they use at the dentist when they clean your teeth and this is the closest I found. Mind you, I didn't do extensive research.

I like this. It has a light minty flavor. A little chalky. My story - I bought a relatively cheap rechargeable electric toothbrush for kids at Walmart (Oral B Pro Health Jr) because the adult version was just expensive, then used a daily regimen of combining several products - StaiNo Tooth Stain Eraser to rub problem areas directly, brushed with Plus White Xtra Whitening Toothpaste, then brushed with Eucryl Smokers Toothpowder for an abrasive, rinsed with Nature's Answer Complete Oral Care PerioWash, and then brushed my gums and gum line with NaturaRx Dentizyme drops. This was all to remove embarrassing dark brown stains along my gum line caused by years of smoking, coffee, tea, and soda.. that I thought was decay. My dentist verified this as being decay and said there was no way to remove it, but I was determined. I can't say exactly which products did the job, as I bought everything I could find with a great review and used them all at once.. but the lines were deep stains, and the stains were gone in a matter of days using these products. When I came back the following week for my first cleaning in years.. I also had almost no plaque left, other than a small amount between my teeth. Fastest cleaning ever.. 6 months later, the stains are still gone and I barely use anything but toothpaste now. Amazing, and I'm no longer embarrassed to smile!! Pain that I was having from a filling also subsided. To me.. all of those products get 5 stars!!

First, let me state that I purchased this product at the normal price. I was not given this product at a lower price for a review....having said this....THIS STUFF IS AWESOME!!!! I love my coffee and tea, and do smoke. However, I do not want my teeth to reflect these habits. I have tried just about everything out there, whitening toothpastes, strips, etc., and these can get expensive! I recently had my teeth cleaned and the person did not do a very good job. There were still visible stains that were driving me crazy. I didn't want to smile like I usually do. Found this product while searching on Amazon and thought I would give it a try after having read the reviews. I tried it immediately and it removed at least 75% of the stains in the first use! The next day, used again and the stains in my front teeth are gone with a further reduction on the other side teeth (just about gone)!!! Finally, a purchase that has gone above and beyond what I expected!

Used it 3-4 times and starting to see my teeth lighten

I honestly didn’t expect much from this little tub, but Eucryl Freshmint Toothpowder really does what it says. After a couple of uses, my teeth started looking cleaner and the coffee stains began to fade. It gives that fresh, just-polished feeling after brushing, which regular toothpaste doesn’t always do. It’s super easy to use — I just wet my toothbrush, dab a bit of powder, and brush like normal. You only need it once or twice a week, so one tub lasts ages. The mint flavour is strong but refreshing, and my mouth feels properly clean afterward. It’s a bit messy if you’re not careful when opening it, but honestly, the results make up for it. My teeth definitely look brighter and smoother now. If you drink a lot of tea or coffee like me, this is 100% worth trying. Small price, big difference.
