Fantastic lighter. Happy to add it to my collection.
The media could not be loaded. This lighter is GREAT! Operates flawlessly and isn't too bulky or heavy. I'd definitely recommend it for any lighter user or enthusiasts. Works great in windy conditions and never fails it provide a flame. Works with regular lighter fluid & for that I am happy. Don't hesitate, it'd make a great gift for anyone who needs a light. It is neat
Classic design. I really like it. It can be aggrevating to have to refill, but it is so fun to use you forget about the "hassel"

Safety issue, but nice lighter.
I would consider this lighter relatively unsafe out of the box, because the release mechanism on the spring-latch is very sensitive. You wouldn't want this near other objects that could bump against it, as it will easily unlatch and light—Putting personal effects, if not yourself, at risk. That means it’s unsafe for purses or pant pockets. That said, it’s a manageable issue if, for whatever reason, you decide the lighter is a keeper. You wrap it with a rubber band or, as I did, fashion yourself a retainer strap made of something like nylon or leather. I personally made a retainer strap from a piece of leather and epoxy (both sold at a local hobby store). Essentially you cut a strap to overlap itself and then wrap the lighter and glue it in place with epoxy, using something like a spring clamp to hold it in place while the adhesive cures. Be mindful that no adhesive runs over onto the lighter itself while it's drying in place.IMHO this lighter should come with warnings to address those specific issues mentioned, but as of Dec 2023 it does not.It should also come with some sort of sheath --as I was able to make--to ensure it won't spring open and light. There are enough reviews to cover the lighter’s pros, as far as aesthetics and material quality are concerned, so I will only go so far as to say it's a relatively attractive lighter for the price and it consistently lights when it springs open. Aside from the safety issue (that could easily be resolved) I'm rather satisfied with the quality of the lighter.

Really like this lighter
Its no where as dependable as a zippo. (wind protection wise) but i will say i like this lighter very much. It holds fuel very well with minimal leakage (evaporation) Has a good weight. Sturdy. All in all, its a pretty great lighter. Again.. while i'd take a zippo in the woods over this guy any day. Its a bit unique and works very well. Use it regularly. Be cautious not to over fill, as it will literally shoot globs of fire all over when you push the button to pop the lid and and spark the wick. Just a fair warning :)

Inexpensive, works well
The lighter functions as described, has lit every time. To flip the cover back down to extinguish the flame is a little tricky because the cover is small. The general directions covers all kinds of lighters and is in very small print. It remains to be seen how difficult it is to change flints, wicks or the wadding. Overall, satisfied so far.

Great Lighter - Until You Burn a Hole in Your Pocket...
well the title says it all... i loved this lighter. a lot. until one day i was having a conversation with a buddy of mine while cooking dinner, when suddenly the smell of melting plastic filled the air, and i felt a warm sensation above my right thigh. it was then when i realized there's no safety on this lighter, so when you accidentally open it in your pocket, you'll ruin your jogging pants, and burn your leg.

Replacement works.
broken already, doesn't light up, and yes i have fluid in it. Useless. But they were very nice to send me a replacement that works. Happy now.

Get a real Japan made lighter.
The media could not be loaded. Firstly I was a machinist for 14 years and instantly knew something was up from the weight of it (too light). The top part of the lighter is flimsy and I scratched some of the finish off to show the color underneath. the picture of the bottom you see those 2 screws, those are brass. Check out the video of this thing attracting a magnet! I realize you get what you pay for but the deception and flat out lies are getting old. I have had Japan made lighters and they are just incredible, spend the extra and you will have it for generations I promise you that.
