LARGE nose strips
These are LARGE! Please be careful when you order. I was in a rush, and didn’t pay attention to the fact that these are large. They are much bigger than the average size breathe right strip. Much too big for my nose. A combination of desperation and not wanting the hassle of exchanging, I kept them and have been using them. My nose is a normal size. They still work, but I’m not sure they work as well as the regular size. However, it’s great for those with a larger or wider nose. The whole piece is substantially bigger. Glad everyone of all shapes and sizes can find relief equally.I don’t know if it’s the size or what, but I find these do leave a sticky residue on my nose, and I have to peel off little bit of adhesive when washing my face in the morning. Beggars can’t be choosers, so that minor inconvenience is a fair trade off in order to be able to sleep without my mouth open!

Great for sleeping, not so much for going in public.
I've tried Breath Right strips as well as the Silent Mammoth, the Rhinomed Mute and Rhinomed Turbine products and this review will be comparing the pros and cons of these.- Airflow -The Silent Mammoth seems to have a similar effect to the Breath Right Strips in that it expands the upper nostril area whereas the Rhinomed products expand the lower nostril area (the nose entry point). For me, the upper nostril expansion is more beneficial than the lower. This may be different for others. So Silent Mammoth and Breath Right Strips are a tie for first in this category.- Comfort -The Breath Right Strips are the most comfortable of all options. I can sleep with them, eat with them, have a conversation, do any sort of mouth movements and barely notice it's there. It's no surprise why they're so popular. The Rhinomed Mute comes in second - I notice it's there but I don't feel any discomfort. The Rhinomed Turbine material is a little more firm (it's for athletes and active people) which means it stays in the nose more strongly but for me I feel agitated after wearing it for a few hours. The Silent Mammoth feels great as long as I'm not doing anything active with my mouth like eating or smiling/laughing. So for stuff like sleeping it's fine. Once I need move my mouth around then it starts to agitate my nose. So in order of Comfort from best to worst - Breath Right Strips, Rhinomed Mute, Rhinomed Turbine, Silent Mammoth.- Appearance -This is a little subjective. If you're fine looking like you have a nose piercing, which I am, the Silent Mammoth has the most low profile look. From 10 feet away you probably won't notice it. The Rhinomed Mute comes in second because it's a little thicker material. Next is the Rhinomed Turbine because it's bright yellow. Then worst of all are breath right strips for obvious reasons. I would not feel comfortable going to work with a breath right strip on my face. The other products are much better looking in my opinion.- Ease of Use -Breath right strips are the easiest to install. There's very little room for error. The Rhinomed products come in second - after ordering the multi pack, you first have to find which size fits your nose then adjust the nostril rings of that version. Coming in last, The Silent Mammoth has taken me a few days of experimenting to figure out a good setup. It's great because there are infinite variations on how you can bend the shape but that also means it will take some time to find the right fit.- Cleaning / Reuse -This is the main reason I wanted to try alternative to the breath right strips. I got really tired of throwing them away every day and cleaning the glue off of my nose. What a mess. So breath right strips are clearly last in this category. Although Rhinomed advertises that they need to be replaced every so often I think they're just trying to sell more products. Warm water and soap after each use should be fine. Cleaning is the same for the Silent Mammoth. I will put Silent Mammoth in first place here because they're easy to clean like the Rhinomed but also come with great storage cases and are intended for reuse.- Cost -This depends on how you look at it. If you're just looking at one time costs, the Breath Right Strips are cheapest, followed by Rhinomed, then Silent Mammoth being most expensive. If you're looking at cost per use - the Silent Mammoth and Rhinomed will earn their keep if you keep cleaning them. The Rhinomed also comes with 3 per purchase so if you're looking at long term cost per use - I'd put Rhinomed first, then Silent Mammoth, then Breath Right Strips.- Conclusion -These all serve slightly different functions so I'd encourage you to try them out to see what works for you. For me, the reusability and airflow from the Silent Mammoth makes it my current favorite. I just with I could use it during more active times like eating, smiling, laughing. I'll probably keep all three in my toolkit and use each depending on the situation.

They are great, but don't last the night
I love these to open my nose and make it easier to breath when I'm going to sleep. I usually sleep with my mouth open and this helps to reduce that. However, when I wake up, invariably, one side has come off and it's no longer doing it's job. I wish it would last all night.

Works!
I bought these to help stop snoring, as my family says I am able to keep them awake all night. When I use them no one complains about my snoring, even when we are in a hotel room, so they must work.

If I skip these any night, I snore aweful. They help me so much.

It’s success is probably a mixture of placebo effect, and denial.
I’m not too sure if it’s a placebo effect, or genuinely effective. I think I breathe more clearly with this product, but I honestly can’t be sure either. So that’s my reasoning for why I can’t rate it higher than a 3/5.I have a deviated septum, and it’s great to feel relief for it, but if I can’t even tell if the relief is because of this product I can’t really recommend it. If you want the comfort, and can look past that, maybe it’s for you.

Surprisingly effective for it's price!
This thing looks quite simple, but it is surprisingly effective when accurately following instructions. I got my sleep breathing relief for 30 cents per night.

Deviated septum
I have a deviated septum ( getting surgery done in a couple months) and although it doesn’t fully open the airways through my nose I was pretty pleasantly surprised how much it did help. After wearing it for a while tho it’ll feel a little uncomfortable from the pulling but is it worth the trade off to breathe better I would say so. It Does leave a redmark for a while after removing. I do like this one more than the equate one I got at Walmart.
