The Kappa 32.9cf 3-1/2"" speakers feature light, but stiff woven glass-fiber woofer cones that won't flex or distort. The Plus One design offers a larger surface area for improved low-frequency output and efficiency, while longer voice coils produce tighter, snappier midbass. Large magnets keep the woofers running cooler by placing more steel close to the voice coils to act as a heat sink. Infinity uses the same Metal Matrix Diaphragm tweeter found in many of their popular home speakers, so you'll hear the music the way it was recorded with minimal coloration or distortion. The dome tweeters pivot, allowing you to adjust them for better stereo imaging. The computer-optimized outboard crossover networks employ audiophile-grade components to separate highs and lows, so that the woofer and tweeter work together perfectly. Pre-wired crossovers eliminate a time-consuming step in your installation, and terminals at the end of the crossover wires screw directly to the speakers, leaving no chance for incorrect wiring.

WOW Factor
Very impressed so far... This is a very tight install as it sits in an old MG Midget. Talk about fabrication! Size, power, style (looks) and price were the top concerns and these little babies certainly do the trick.Have a Kenwood head unit powering the pair of Infinity 329CF 3.5 Inch Two-Way Speakers up front (very custom enclosures) & a pair of Rockford Fosgate Punch P152s 5.25-in component speakers in the back panel using the trunk for the main enclosure and mounting the tweeters high on the roll bar. A Dual XPA2100 300 watt amp is used to power a single Polk db84odvc 8-in Subwoofer custom mounted behind and between the seats. The Infinity speakers put out a very respectable mid and outstanding highs. They are more efficient than the back speakers and really outdo themselves. Because it’s such a small area with so much audio, it doesn’t take too much to get clean warm mids and crisp highs (when you turn it up, it just gets better!). With the top down and wind in your face, these still provide excellent sound right to your ears (the WOW! factor). The most difficult part was designing the enclosures, made several prototypes testing for the best sound for the space required ending up with a sealed tubular design with a 4 inch diameter and 14 inch length mounted under the dash pointing towards the passengers. Outstanding speakers!

Great purchase!
Wow! What a great purchase. Would have been $129 locally. Paid $78 with shipping from Amazon. Speakers arrived nicely packaged ahead of the promised date.Speakers are a tight fit in the dash but have made a tremendous difference in sound quality over the stock "premium" audio system. Installed them myself in my 2010 Toyota 4runner. Premium audio system is very nicely tuned but the speakers themselves are really cheaply constructed and sound very thin. Great match for stock systems as the speakers are very efficient and can be powered by stock head units (although mines has a separate JBL amp) and allow me to change out speakers little by little without playing too softly to match the stock speakers.Had to fabricate some mounts with mending plates from local hardware store. Very simple. Just have a bunch of screws, washers, spacers on hand.Even my wife who was against me fooling around with my new car was stunned at the difference. After this experience, I ordered speakers from Amazon for the front doors. $118 with shipping for speakers that would cost $259 locally. Arrived yesterday. Also very nicely packaged. Haven't installed them yet. No objections from the wife this time. She's anxiously waiting for me to install. She'll have to wait a little longer. I'm ordering Dynamats from Amazon. This one is even more crazy. $150-$175 with shipping. $400 locally.

Not the experience I expected, but a solid speaker nonetheless.
I purchased this speaker set expecting to be blown away by better sound all-around from my 2003 Saab 9-3. While the bass response is slightly improved, and the build quality seems to be excellent, I found the sound staging to be thrown off. This is a problem stemming from the excellent Saab OEM sound staging being so precise, not a fault of the speaker itself.I found that the plastic rim of the speaker extended above where the speaker cover needs to fit, but I fixed this by shaving off a few centimeters of plastic (there seemed to be plenty extra).Overall, I would recommend this product, but be sure to do some research as to exactly what you are looking for in a speaker, as there are different "correct" options for each scenario.

Mmmmm
As customer before me said, these things didn't fit well into my car either. The reason I found that makes them not fit is the spot where the speaker wire attaches to the speaker (the hangy thing) that area sticks out. Since my speaker holder in my dash was just plastic I focused on where that would go and cut out the area that would go and it fit right in.Yea you might have to do a little work, but it is well worth the effort. As some people have said, you hear things that you didn't know was there. It has super crisp highs, and really good mids. If you are looking for bass that is like omg good, 3.5 inch speakers isn't going to satisfy your needs. These speakers make me happy.

Gave 4 stars only because Amazon's "fitment guide" said it fits. These are monsters compared to stock speakers in dash. It took me about an hour to modify where the factory speakers were. Just had to use a razor knife and pliers to make enouh room for these to fit. Other than that these speakers rock. They play sounds ive never heard before, at first it took them a while to break in, but once warmed up they lost most of the harsh highs. Seem way underpowered of just my head unit, But I dont have to worry about blowing them.

Aways Buy Infinity
I have been buying Infinity speakers for over 20 years and they have always perform perfectly. These speakers are no exception. The highs are clear along with the midrange even at high volume levels. Kappas come with a 3-year warranty Too. I installed these in my, Chrysler Sebring Converible (1997), in the dash. I had to cut a little bit of the plastic away to make them fit using a utility knive. Make sure, when you install these speakers, that you leave the 3-1/2" speaker rings in place to protect the tweeters from the top of the dash cover. They are great, and with a little work use can make them fit too. Just make sure that you don't damage any thing.

Very impressed!!!
I purchased these speakers to install in our 2007 FJ Cruiser since our FJ did not come with the optional rear pillar speakers. I've read a lot of good reviews before purchasing these speakers and I was not let down one bit! I was amazed at how much clean sound comes out of these speakers. I am thinking about replacing our dash speakers with these also. Our dash speakers are in perfect condition, but these speakers are just that good!
