K & S Precision Metals 8140 K & S Engineering #140 17/32x12 Round Brass Tube

I use this for nerf barrels and it works pretty well. The side thickness is consistent enough for a closed breach system. Never received a bent or dented pipe.

Nerf darts fit through nice and come out fast.

There’s nothing wrong with the tube itself, the dimensions seem correct and the quality is good. But 1/2” (12.7mm) is too small for most darts. I have dart zone and adventure force half size darts, and Nerf and dart zone full size darts, and I can’t even push them in with my fingers, never mind a blaster. So either all 3 of the tubes I got are defective, or 13mm is what you actually need for a foam blaster barrel.

This is the one to buy if your wanting to brass your nerf blaster. Don’t buy a cheep imitator K&S 8140 is the best for nerf performance. it was smooth straight and made my project install super easy.

This is a one-each brass tube of the dimensions advertised that arrived a little quicker than promised. It wasn't the 'cleanest' of sections (a couple burrs on the ends and a little tarnish), but it wasn't sold as 'show-piece' brass. I don't tend to give fives for materials unless they are 'better than basic good quality'.I'm happy and will keep them on my list to price-check when I need stuff.

The midrange vote is because the tube has dark brown discolored spots on it, almost like heated (only coming out of a blister pack, so it would have to be before put in that). Fortunately, I want it as a couple/connector that will be inserted into larger diametering tubing and therefore covered. But anyone using it in an exposed way would be disappointed. Might polish out, but I don't need that so not checking.I would make it clear that this was not sold as polished finish brass, so not a bust. But I have ordered a lot of brass and none has had large dark brown spots.Otherwise shipped quickly and well packed and protected. diameter dimension good, as it slides into larger tubine with good fit.
