Good box for the money. Holes for the metal rack isn't predrilled might give you the option for rack or no rack. The lock looks cheap but it is from China. Didn't much care for the gloss black but I planned on painting it to match. Also the luggage rack on the sissy bar needs to be wider than the 8 1/2 inch shown in the picture. There's no instructions either but with a little know how it's easy to mount. Also roomy. It fits 2 full size helmets or a typical gym bag with clothes and essentials. Not sure how water tight it is but it does rattle a bit. Might be from the fact there's no seal around the bottom half where the lid closes.

We are very pleased with the storage capacity and ease of installation. We would order this again.

I installed this on my 1999 Harley Davidson Heritage Softail. I am an experienced DIY'er. I had to remove the sissy bar from the factory rack . The case will not fit or open if there is a sissy bar on your rack Removal of mine was a royal PIA.There are no installation instructions included so you will have to wing it. The pre-drilled holes at the bottom of the case did not line up properly with my rack so I had to drill holes to mount it. There are no pre-drilled holes for the chrome rack to mount on top of the lid. Under the lid are indications where to drill the holes. Once drilled the holes did not line up exactly with the feet on the chrome rack. I had to "stretch" the holes but that worked. On my first ride the lid rattled and came unlocked. On inspection I found that the rubber cushions attached to the inside edges of the lid were installed incorrectly. I re-installed them with glue to prevent them falling off. It solved the rattle problem. Overall this is an acceptable product as to design and construction. It is light weight. It is reasonably priced. Four stars.

Looks great, decent size, mounting was moderately easy to accomplish, very sturdy not cheaply made of course lights don't come with it. over all I'm very pleased and will buy another very soon.

Looks and Fits Great

The backrest part is poorly designed. It has a lot more padding at the top than at the bottom, which pushes against the rider's back uncomfortably if the rider leans back against it. to correct this, I seem to have several choices: I could mount the whole trunk at an angle that puts the backrest at a comfortable position (which would make the trunk look odd on the bike); I could try to place a spacer or mounting piece of some kind between the front of the trunk and the backrest to adjust the backrest angle; I could tack the backrest completely apart and install new foam, then recover it; or I could look for a replacement backrest piece that's designed better from a different company. None of these are great options. Other than this shortcoming, the trunk itself seems pretty good. It holds a decent amount and it feels solid enough.My solution to the backrest angle is in the photo - I went to the hardware store and bought assorted metric couplers, bolts, nuts, washers, etc. I've got the backrest mounted to the trunklid so the lower part of it extends much further out than the hardware that came with it allowed. This gives the passenger a much more pleasant angle when they lean back against it. I used big washers on both the inside and outside of the trunk to (hopefully) prevent it from cracking or pulling a bolt through, and everything feels super solid.I just cant stress highly enough that if you simply bolt the backrest on with the hardware supplied, it will be mounted at an angle that is uncomfortable for any passenger who wants to lean back. It's as if the designer of this backrest had never seen an actual human on the back of a motorcycle before. Seriously, I suspect that when they made these things, they put the backrest foam in upside-down, and decided to sell them anyway. The thinnest part of the foam is where you'd want the most padding, and the thickest part of the foam is where you'd want the least padding.

Works for what I need it for. better then paying 1400 dollars for an Indian one. And I only use it two or three times a year
