Amazing leash & an absolute shoulder strain saver
Decided to write this review after taking my dog that has been using this leash for 3 years on a really short walk without it and used a regular leash. WOW! Eye-opening on all teh behavior I just witnessed and haven't seen since using this leash. My dog Cagney is 80lbs, long, lean and very strong. This leash was a lifesaver in so many ways. We now can take walks up to 5 miles, no issues. No pulling, length is just right. Love this leash and getting a new one for my puppy that is a spaz personality wise and never wants to be away from Cagney, so he joins walks. Hoping it has the same effect. Thank you for making this and making walks awesome!

Not the best quality for the price
This leash works perfectly for my dogs and surely fits the task for what was made of. Nonetheless the quality is not that good and the leash is deteriorating fast.

High quality
This is everything I hoped it would be. Very high quality, sturdy, soft and smooth in your hand, with a slight give. If you use the techniques Cesar recommends this works like a charm. I have previously ordered more expensive leashes that looked similar to this, but upon arrival they were thick, unyielding, and just bulky. This coils nicely in your hand and if I keep myself in a calm, assertive mindset my dogs follow easily.I have seen a lot of questions here about what the extra black metal loop is for. I saw Cesar use this lead to loop over the dogs nose (in his new show), and although he didn’t explain it, nor can I find any videos or pictures about this feature, I believe that’s what it is for. I included some pictures of how to do it. I’m not sure if we will need this feature but it’s nice to know I have that option. It basically turns the lead into one of those “gentle leaders” that controls their head more. I may need it for my other dog (shown in the background) who is very reactive to wildlife on our walks. It does make the leash much shorter obviously. This is the “one size fits most” option, but I also just ordered the “large” size as well, thinking a longer option might be nice for walking both of my dogs on my left side. I wasn’t able to find the length of the “large” option, so I will update when it arrives. If you are familiar with Cesar’s techniques, and know how to make quick corrections and have (or want) your dog to follow you, this is a great tool. It takes practice and patience, but my dogs are no longer strangling themselves on walks, and seem much happier.I hope this is helpful!!

Best leash I've ever bought
This leash is awesome. I love how it stays in the proper place high up on the neck for quick corrections. I'm 73 and have a young strong willed German Shephard that I can control easily with this leash. It's soft in the hands and a great length for heeling. Thanks Ceasar for making a great product! I'll be purchasing more.

Does help, but needs constant adjusting during walk
I watch so many Cesar television shows on how to correct dog behavior and see him use a Yellow version on the shows. I see there is not a yellow version of this lead available on the site so that was irritating because I wanted to get what he uses exactly from his show. Anyway, thanks to another reviewer, I knew to buy the "large" size of this for my 40lb dog because she made the mistake of buying the regular smaller size this site defaults to choose. The "large" is not very long, only 2 ft but maybe the rope is thicker. The rope is a light stretchy material so it does not chafe your hand, but it still burns after a while of your dog pulling and you trying to keep it from pulling. I could not imagine trying to use this on a dog bigger than 40 pounds because it feels like it is at it's max strength when I am dealing with mine.My dog likes to eat anything and everything on the ground as we walk so I needed this for the option of the muzzle control feature of the rope. As others have said it acts like the gentle leader halter.Pros: The adjustable slide to "secure" the loop size over your dog's head, behind it's ears is easy to move up and down. The black metal ring works well when you use the second circle to loop over your dog's muzzle. Every time she tries to open her mouth to eat something on the ground she can't.CONS: The adjustable slide to "secure" the loop is too easy to move and therefore I have to constantly push it back down on my dog's head while walking. I am trying to find a clamp of some sort I can clip behind this slider to keep it in place once my dog starts moving. As soon as it begins to slide up from movement, causing the neck hoop opening to widen and she is back to pulling hard.

Great training lead
Good quality. Stays snug when placed correctly. Doesn’t slip off the part of the neck where it is supposed go. Tightens and loosens as intended. Lead length is nearly perfect.

Doesn’t stay in place even with “locking” mechanism
Purchased this about 1 year ago after trying all kinds of collars to walk my mini Schnoodle. To this day she still pulls, chokes and gags with this. Maybe because of her build it doesn’t work the best…small head and long neck. It never stays up high and in place even with the “locking” mechanism…so it continually slides down. I tried using the loop over her nose and she went into full panic mode, almost running away from me.Cesar…you make the training look so easy, I wish I had just a little bit of your skills and know how to get my anxious girl to take a casual enjoyable walk with her momma. I even tried incorporating a Thunder vest…okay on cooler days but not ideal on warmer ones. It may have helped ever so slightly.
