This is a perfect microphone for my Galaxy S25 Ultra. The sound is so much better, it's compact and easy to pack away after filming. This is the ideal microphone for a camera phone. You will need a phone cage to be able to attach it. Highly recommended.

For the money, this mic is a brilliant bit of kit. My preference is taking wildlife videos with my DSLR, but the built in mic doesn't give any protection regarding wind noise. Even a light breeze will be noticable. Recording with the Sennheiser Professional MKE 200 Directional On-Camera Microphone has ended all of that. It picks up the ambient noises ( bird song, animal sounds ) just right, to give proper atmosphere to my videos. Would throughly reccomend. The enclosed video was taken from over half a mile away, as you will hear, the sound quality is excellent. The mic was also wearing the furry wind hat.

Great little mic, sturdy build quality. But in all honesty it is for casual phone users despite the price point. An upgrade to a cheaper Rode mic or the MKE 400 will give you much better audio quality. This MKE 200 is definitely better than using a phone mic, and the preamp is needed on a camera to make this sound loud enough which can introduce some noise. If you know anything about basic audio editing in premiere pro, or final cut then you can make this microphone sound quite high end if the filming environment was decently controlled and you don't mind the little extra workflow.

I was looking for a quality microphone but on a budget. I’m so glad I stretched to this and not some of the really cheap mics that appear everywhere in searches. Sound quality is amazing, wind noise much reduced. Quality is most noticeable when filming directly at a subject from some distance - it is far better than my iPhone’s internal mic could achieve. Very very pleased with it and highly recommended.

Sennheiser MKE 200 is exactly what I was looking for to improve the terrible built in microphone on the camera body.Only taken a couple of short videos to test it but I'm very pleased with it so far.

This is a solid piece of equipment, really well made and it works perfectly well with my video camera, but I think it is mono not stereo sound. This said the sound is still good.

With this microphone I was less concerned about its audio quality, which is fair rather than great, as to its ability to block wind noise. I can now conform that with the supplied wind muffler it works very well in the strongest of winds. I have used it on the deck of a small boat, and on the deck of a cruise ship to record the ambient sounds, and it does so very, very well. It is also compact, light weight and gets its power from the camera. I use it with a Panasonic Lumix FZ2000. Highly recommended if this is what you want.

I've been using Rode VideoMicro's on my action cams for a while. I have them hand held on mini tripods that double as the grip. The Rode mic is mounted on the side or the top as needed. I never get any noise artifacts from handling and I'm not gentle with them. However the Sennheiser is introducing artifacts into my audio almost constantly. Just shifting my grip on the handle creates noise thats then recorded. The benefit of this mic is that its super compact which is great with an action cam, but that is also the drawback - the shock mount system is just no where near as good.

I bought this late 2020 and used it during video capture of all family / tourist video's over Christmas 2020 on my Sony a6600 aps-c camera. The built in wind shield / shock mount worked well in light to moderate wind conditions except for a hilltop arboretum/kite flying area where I had to use the included furry accessory. It has a decent super/cardiod pattern and its for fact is unobtrusive and cant be beat for compactness cant be beat. I definitely prefer this over my Deity D4 Duo. Highly recommended.

Stimmen kommen sauber und präsent zur Geltung. Die integrierte Windschutz- und Stoßdämpfer-Technologie funktioniert hervorragend und hat mir in verschiedenen Aufnahmesituationen (drinnen und draußen) viel Nachbearbeitung erspart. Kompaktheit und Design: Das MKE 200 ist unglaublich klein und leicht. Es trägt kaum auf der Kamera auf und macht mein Setup mobil und reisefreundlich. Die Anbringung über den Blitzschuh ist kinderleicht und die mitgelieferten Kabel (TRS und TRRS) machen es vielseitig kompatibel mit Kameras und Mobilgeräten. Verarbeitung: Sennheiser-typisch ist die Verarbeitung sehr hochwertig und robust. Man hat das Gefühl, ein langlebiges Produkt in der Hand zu halten. Fazit: Wer ein kompaktes, leistungsstarkes und zuverlässiges Richtmikrofon für Vlogging, Interviews oder allgemeine Video-Produktionen sucht, wird mit dem MKE 200 extrem glücklich sein. Der Sound-Boost im Vergleich zum internen Kameramikrofon ist gewaltig!
