is the weight limit sufficient enough to support a potted plant?

Correction: I used the weight for a cubic foot of water (40 lbs) and not a gallon (8 lbs). It's still 5x8 = 40 lbs and they say it can hold 50 lbs. Still too close for comfort and doesn't take dynamic loads from the wind into account. I wouldn't go over 20 lbs as a static load.
