Prepology 3-Piece Stainless Steel Silicone Accented Kitchen Tongs Set (Yellow)

I bought this same set years ago and they lasted a very long time. I think the rivets they are using now are not the same quality as I have had one fall apart and was not able to fix it. I had another that I caught the rivet coming out of the handle and was able to push it back in, but I don't expect it to last much longer.One has been fine so far.I may see if I can replace the rivets with better quality but I should not have to do this.The lock feature is great, just wish they were. more durable

Very satisfied with these tongs. First impressions are that these tongs are durable and sturdy. The locking mechanism is nice in that you can lock them single-handedly just by holding them closed and turning them over.Of course, time will tell how these hold up with multiple use, but they do seem to be well-made, and for the price they are a relatively good value IMO.

I had a small purple prepology tong my daughter gave me several years ago and I used it so much I wore the hinge out. I was excited when I was able to purchase them again and for a reasonable price. I love them! They’re easy to use and sturdy.

I like the gravity lock feature because the tongs can be locked and unlocked one-handed. The tips are a little more flexible than I'd like, and I wish they came in a color other than yellow. Otherwise they're great.

You don't need 2 hands to close them before you put them down. The rubber on the handles make them very comfortable and easy to grip. The won't scratch you cookware. These are great! I would give them more stars if I could.

Your chicken is about to burn on one side, you run to grab a tong. The tong wont open up! You panic! Sweat drips down your forehead as you scramble to find a way to get the tong to open. You end up banging it on your counter for it to open up. Not before your kitchen fills up with smoke and you set off the fire alarm though and meet all your neighbors!These are cute, but so difficult to get open and closed.

Hard to get used to locking mechanism. The silicone tips make it hard to pick up some things. Would prefer bare metal. They seem sturdy. Would go a different route next time.

These tongs are very sturdy, and the different sizes are very convenient. I love the way the lock works, it just takes getting used to it but once you do it is great.
