Great price for such a large bag
I use slippery elm whenever I begin showing symptoms of a cold. Most people use that OTC med Muc…x, but I prefer something natural. A teaspoon of this in a cup of tea and I am well on my way to getting rid of all that clogged up mucus. Remember to drink a lot of non-caffeine beverages to stay hydrated or it won’t work the way you need it to. Your body needs to be hydrated to be able to thin secretions and caffeine is dehydrating. This is a great product from an excellent company. It is easy to use, you don’t notice it because there is no flavor, it will alleviate your symptoms and you will be feeling better much more quickly! It works well! Price is good as compared to some of the competitors out there.

Be your own judge
Must mixed quickly and it's odourless and tasteless. I am not sure if it helps with pain yet however I bought it for reproductive reasons and so far so good.

Very good quality, noticeable improvement
I’ve tried several brands of slippery elm for my dog’s tummy. This one is noticeably better. It gels quickly in hot water, and even gels a bit in oil or cold water. It has a very fluffy consistency, and doesn’t seem like sawdust. The other brands I tried seemed to help my dog’s acid problems a bit in the long term, but this one immediately soothes her acid-induced gulping when I mix it in hot water, let it gel, and give it to her.

Love this!
I use it for my elder Great Dane who has tummy troubles. I didn't want to continue giving her an antacid pills. This product is all natural, does a better job, and keeps my girl comfortable. I highly recommend. I mix a heaping tsp in warm water and add to her food.

Review update:
Updated review from 3 to 4 stars.Okay, so I want to be fair in my review here, while this is not as pure as the stuff I got locally, I tried making this again today because I'm out of the good stuff. I mixed about 2 heaping teaspoons in a mug and poured about 4 oz. boiling water over, it gelled!!! I added a few more ounces to thin a little. This gave me hope that this slippery elm powder will work, but just needed a LOT more powder than the really pure stuff (about 3x more). The texture is still not as "slippery" and is also a bit more woody tasting and grainy texture, but honestly, its not terrible if you doctor it up with cinnamon and a little cacao butter or coconut oil, my husband prefers to consume any slippery elm with a little maple syrup for taste (he's more picky than I am about food). Anyway, all that said, I do prefer the stuff i got locally, but I don't want to make it sound like this won't work at all.Original review:"This is not like the slippery elm I got from my local health food store. The product I was used to is a very fine powder, slightly sweet smell like maple syrup and quickly forms a thick gel when I pour boiling water over it. Using the exact same technique and amount this morning side-by- side there is no comparison. I think this is slippery elm, but not good quality. It is very thin and grainy/gritty and the taste is more like sawdust tea. I think its probably just more of the outside bark and not the pure inner bark. After watching a video on how its harvested I guess I see why this is so much less expensive than the stuff I bought before. I doubt this will hurt anyone, but I don't know that its very beneficial."

Working Wonders for Me
Update to my review one month ago - this has been an amazing discovery for me. I am 100% off acid reflux meds and this product has done wonders for my digestive system. I started by using it three times a day in hot water but now I am down to once a day. I am able to eat spicy foods and beans which previously caused a great deal of gas for me. So besides the relief from reflux I have much less "flatulence." That's a big plus! It's been about a month now, on a rare day, I may need a tiny bit more a second time. The key to mixing it is to use boiling water and stir, stir, stir to prevent lumps. Let it cool slightly and gel up.*************** Previous review followsI was using capsules and emptying them into hot water for tea. They were not doing much. I received this order of powder last week, so am only about 1 week into it, so far is helping but I am not totally free of reflux yet. What I learned by researching on health sites is that it is important to use at least 8 oz of hot water and a heaping tsp or TBS of the powder, mix it well. I've then been adding a few more ounces of cooler water so that I can drink it right away. The mistake I was making was not using enough of the powder, it should really be thick and gelatinous to be effective. After using it for a few more weeks, it may get 5 starts. I am off my GERD medication. Be prepared for rebound reflux - don't stop those meds cold turkey. I started to skip to every other day for a couple of weeks and have been totally off of them now for 9 days. I prefer to use an herb than chemicals that can weaken my already thinning bones. I just drank some and it helped immediately. The product appears to be of good quality like a powdery flour like substance. If you don't dissolve it right away with hot water you will have clumps.I'll update this review in a couple of weeks, I expect it to be 5 stars by then and to be totally free of symptoms.

Best brand
Best brand. Not much color, taste or smell, pretty bland. Very thick. I need to get better at taking it to see if it really helps the gut as I’ve researched but can be difficult to use lol hard to stomach and drink down
