Board foot is one square foot at 1" thick. The insulation is R6 per inch. Your application would require 400 board feet. Desired R-value divided by 6 times the square footage = board feet.

can i use some of this on one job and the rest later?

We recommend that once you open a set you use it up within 5 days. You will also need to prep the tanks the same way when are going to use them again.

What is the difference between "fast rise" and "quick cure" foam? I need to spray foam into a new open 2X4 wall, will the "quick cure" do the job?

The difference between the two products is the fire rating. The Fast Rise formula has a retardant in it that makes it a Class-1 material or fire rated foam. The Quick Cure formula has less retardant in it so it is a Class-2 material or non-fire rated. All the rest of the properties are the same. So if you aren't worried about the fire rating then the Quick Cure formula will work.
