WILL NOT CONTAIN MICE!
The cage itself is great, I cannot fault the company for the fact that our fancy mice can easily escape between the bars. I took a chance on the cage, hoping the bar spacing would be sufficient to contain mice. Both the young mouse and the adult mouse have escaped, so I would not risk this particular cage if you are looking to house mice. I cannot speak to other rodents. The cage itself is roomy and the tubes are easy to take apart and put back together. We have 2 of these cages and we connected them with the provided tubing from each. Between the 2 cages, they had lots of room to explore and play. Mice climb the bars, so providing tubes all the way to the floor is not necessary. I like the larger size of the tubes and the fact that they are clear. I can see the mice easily and can also see when they need to be cleaned. We had to switch to the Kaytee cage and tubes and we are not as happy with them. Tubes are harder to take apart and the cage is much smaller. We still have 2 cages connected, but the total space is definitely reduced. We just cannot spend another 12 hours hunting down pet mice in the back of closets anymore, so alas... Kaytee it must be.

It's a pretty good cage
I got this cage for my gerbil and he likes it. Plenty of space, two levels, a tube that wraps around and plenty of airflow which is super important. It was really easy to assemble despite the lack of instructions. Very vague instruction but it least it had pictures so I used that to make sure it looked right. I really like that it has two openings, one on top and one on the side. Makes things easier all around. The reason I gave it 4 stars is because the bottom isnt Very deep. Hamsters and gerbils and diggers and need the space to do so. This is a hamster cage but there isn't a whole lot of room for much, so I wish the bottom plastic part was a little deeper.

Good cage, not damaged upon arrival
This is a good cage. It was not damaged upon arrival like many others noted. However, it did come with a lavender- mint complexion; instead of hot pink-green-grey. I ended up ordering a new wheel because this one is (SHOCKINGLY) tiny, cheap garbage. I got this cage because my old acrylic one was really hard to keep clean, therefore unhealthy for my mice (aka Salt and Pepper). It is esthetically pleasing, even with the wrong colors. Have not cleaned yet will see how it goes. The door is a bit loud but not a problem. It does not get stuck. Seems pretty sturdy, however the plastic on the water bottle is thin so may not hold up long term. Assembly was pretty easy. Overall good quality, would buy again.

Great cage for a dwarf hamster
This is our first hamster. We read alot of reviews and had a hard time picking out a cage. This one is the one we went with and so far it has been great. It comes mostly assembles. You just need to build the tunnel and clip in the accessories, like the water bottle and wheel. I was afraid it would come in a hundred peices, but that wasn't the case. Our little dwarf hamster likes it so far. He loves the wheel and I do too since it's quiet! He also loves just sitting in the tube. He sleeps in there too. The food bowl is pretty big for his size. The house is prefect sized. We haven't had any issues with the water bottle leaking. The doors seems to hook into place well. I don't think he could get it open. He hasn't tried so far. And he can't fit through the cage either. I would definitely recommend this cage atkeast for a dwarf hamster. There is plenty of room for accessories to keep him busy too.

Great Hamster cage, but some simple instructions would of been nice.
We just put these cages together today. Great hamster cage with plenty of space. My only complaint is lack of instructions. Particularly for the wheel. Most of its assembly is easy to figure out, but the wheel was a pain. Make sure you put the pin in the wheel the right way as it's nearly impossible to take back out once you make that mistake. The pin inserts from the outside of the wheel. You then hold the wheel against the cage sticking what kind of looks like a key through the cage. Then turn the key part to lock it in place. I hope this helps someone as I could've used that information myself. FYI the key can be removed if placed in the wrong side, but most likely with damage to some degree.

This is my second time buying this cage. We had gerbils years ago and the little bastards chewed the hell out of the tunnels for this cage, so we'd been using the cage without the tunnels for our new baby gerbils. Recently, we decided to buy a second one so we'd have the tunnels for them again. Now the little bastards are chewing the cage itself. Anywhere they can get their teeth onto, they chew. They chew the floor. They chew the tunnels, the mezzanine platform, all of it. We give them plenty of boxboard and chew toys but they seem to love the plastic. Anyway, that's not a reflection of the cage. The cage is fine. But gerbils are little bastards. Don't get gerbils. But if you do, this cage is ok. You may want to try one that is all metal though so they can't chew it to hell.

All the parts that should be there were included, and the whole set up was easy. The wheel is a little small (about 5 1/2") but may be alright for dwarf hamsters or other pets that size.
