Rating this a five as it lives up to its claims removes spots with ease even some stains that we've had for a while in the carpet. After purchasing this product I noticed they offered a professional grade by the same name. I got that and found that the chemical smell with the professional grade was very potent in the home and lasted for several days. So I'm switching back to this one because although both Spot Shot products in remove stains really well, this non professional grade product does not have a smell associated with it.

I just used this on my new carpet. I could not believe how well it removed the stain. I have used a lot of spot cleaners and it usually takes several sprays and wipes to remove the stains. Today with one spray and wipe the stain was gone. Easy to use, just shake and spray. I used a dry towel to remove the excess spray and that was it. I highly recommend this Spot Shot.

I bet everyone has a stain they need removed. I recommend Spot Shot. This product is known & advertised for removing carpet stains, which is great. BUT I have a secret to share, SPOT SHOT removes stains from clothing better than any product I have ever tried (believe me, I think I've tried them all (wasting money, as they don't remove stains as advertised). It is a little pricey. I am known for being a "penny pincher", but when it comes to stain removal, I do not mind paying more BECAUSE IT WORKS !I wish it didn't spray as forcefully & further than I need. BUT I am the one to blame for that because it's not made for clothing stains. It's made for AND advertised for carpet stain removal, which makes the sprayer work perfectly for its intended purpose. I wish I could convince the company to produce & manufacture the EXACT SAME PRODUCT with a sprayer that would work best for applying to clothing stains. It's not fair for me to give this product a low rating for "value for the money", as I'm to blame for that, as I use it for a purpose it is not made for. I will continue to purchase it because it works so well for my neeed. It's the only product I have on auto ship on Amazon, as I don't want to be without it !

I have used this product for years. It's stain removing capabilities are excellent without ever fading or damaging carpet or fabrics. The fragrance is pleasant and not over powering. I highly recommend it. Unfortunately, it's no longer available in stores and I can only get it thru Amazon.

I discovered this at Sam's Club several years ago. I was a new home owner and bought some just to have on hand. Maybe a month after we had brand new carpet installed, a large box of greasy hot wings was flipped off of a table onto my carpet. There was a huge puddle of grease and wing sauce all over the carpet. I did my best with paper towels and a dish soap mix, but it wasn't coming out. Then I remembered I had the Spot Shot. I grabbed a can and went at it.WOW! It was easily removing the remaining sauce and grease stain from the carpet. It's kind of hard to describe watching it. The stain almost appears to evaporate while the cleaner is bubbling on the carpet. I was sold. Since then, it's cleaned up some BLACK lube oil that leaked out my washing machine motor when I was repairing it, a Bic black ink pen that got stepped on, printer toner, animal messes, and everything else we've needed it for. Like others have said, it's great on old stains as well. We found a stain under our entertainment center that hadn't moved for years. I don't know how it got there, or what it was, but Spot Shot removed it with little effort.It uses A LOT of liquid for big stains, and we always soak up the excess chemical with a paper towel or rag afterwards to speed up the drying time. There is an unmistakable chemical odor, but it's not too bad. I have allergies and asthma and it doesn't bother me. It has never discolored the carpet, or any of the random rags we've used when cleaning up the excess. I've even shot spots on my work clothes when I've come in contact with some substance. Again, never any discoloration. Great stuff!

Only thing that actually gets pet stains out

I had to give it a "shot". Success! It really does a great job. Instructions are very clear and helpful. I haven't had 100% success with older stains, but it works really well with newer stains. Very pleased and will purchase again!
