Ecco Comfort consistently great first wear out of the box.

Very good quality, soft inner feeling, beautiful color, okay shape.
I have wide foot and have pain at side of toe, so I wear only Ecco shoes. I have 8-10 pairs of ecco shoes. Some of them are disappointing, but this loafer can be my 3rd best. Very good quality, soft inner feeling, beautiful color, okay shape. Sometimes wide feet shoes makes my foot humongous but this one does not. There are enough room inside, but tip of toe part is somewhat projecting, so it looks not dull. Good match with cotton pants, jeans, and suit.

larger than size
I HAVE A DOZEN PAIR OF ECCO SHOES. THEIR SIZE 8-8.5 (42) ALWAYS FITS WELL. THIS PAIR - WHICH IS MAKKED 8.0-8.5 IS MUCH LARGER THAN ACCEPTABLE - THEIR IS A ONE INCH GAP FROM HEEL TO BACK OF SHOE. NORMALLY AMAZON RETURNS ARE EASY (ALTHOUGH i SELDOM DO IT). HOWEVER, THESE SHOES HAVE TO GO BACK TO SERED SLOVAKIA AND I HAVE TO PAY TO SHIP WITH HOPE OF GETTING SOME REIMBURSEMENT. MY SPECULATION IS THAT COST OF SHIPPING WILL EXCEED COST OF SHOES. CAN AMAZON OR ECCO PROVIDE ANY ASSISTANCE TO SIMPLY SWAP OUR SHOES OR PROVIDE SHIPPING?

pros: good looking shoe, unique color and style cons: a bit large compared to other similar sized eccos--I have to lace up tight to stay on feet. not as comfrtbale--sole feels still/hard

These are great. The classic Ecco has more leather. This has synthetic lining. Same comfort as original though.
