Victorinox Tear Drop Monosling, Blue, One Size

After doing a lot of research for a sling carrier, I decided to give the Victorinox a try. We were taking a trip to Europe for 2 weeks and wanted a way to carry stuff that was comfortable and secure (my gosh, everything you read about tourist spots in Europe talk about pickpockets and thieves… thankfully we had no problems!). Punch line: I really like the produce and if given the chance would buy it again. The bag’s features and dimensions are as described; it is more versatile (and stylish) than a fanny-pack, and less bulky and more secure than a back pack.. The bag was without defect, construction appears sturdy, and after 2 weeks of continual use, it still looks and works like new. Two zipper pockets on the side and one on the sling. Comments from previous reviewers about the size of the sling pocket are correct… it is not very large and my iPhone 5 would not fit inside it, which would have been convenient, but I knew that before I purchased, I used this pocket to store my earbuds, to keep them from getting tangled up with all the stuff I had in the other pockets. The smaller zipper pocket is a perfect size for travel documents. Used it to carry my passports, boarding passes, emergency information, earplugs and some medicine. The larger pocket was used during our walking tours to carry two small umbrellas, a bottle of water a small guide book and some snacks.. very roomy. The sling fit well and when it was full with all the stuff I was carrying, I just rotated it a bit toward the front and had no problems with arm mobility. Also worked well under my rain windbreaker, although is seems to be water resistant on its own. The other reason I got the bag was for security, and the slash-proof wire reinforced straps. That was good, but I wonder if there is a flaw to this security feature. While the strap is slash-proof, there is a plastic clasp on the strap that is fairly easy to unhook, and depending on the position of the bag, the clasp was on my shoulder or at the top of my back. This was not a comfort issue, but I worried that if there was a determined thief, that instead of cutting the straps, he would just unclasp the strap. At the end of the day, I do not think this is that bad in that a sling bag which rides on your side is inherently safer than a backpack, and if you are paranoid about the clasp, a wire twisy or piece of tape could be added to make it harder to unclasp the strap. As an aside, most of the other mono-sling bags I reviewed had a clasp and would have the same issue. Delivery was prompt and it was well packaged. So overall, very happy with the seller and the product.

I think this is my very first review on Amazon ever. I am writing because this bag is that awesome. I searched forever for a simple, lightweight bag that I could wear while biking short distances on errands or for a day trip that would not swivel around dangerously. This is it. I adore this bag and am considering getting another for good measure. No you can't fit tons of items, but that's what a full backpack or messenger bag is for. This is ideal for: wallet, glasses, keys, cell, paperback and small water bottle etc. It's PERFECT and exactly what I have been searching for. Maybe it is a little pricey, but this is an extremely sturdy little bag with two separate compartments and a well cushioned strap. Aesthetically it's small and unassuming, which I appreciate. It would be useful I think for short hikes or touristy stuff too... This is actually my favorite brand of bag. I have their suitcases and backpacks as well. This was not marketed as a biking accessory and I only wish I thought to check with Victorinox sooner!

I didn't know that Victorinox is a division of Swiss Gear, therefore was pleasantly surprised by the excellent quality of this "Tear Drop Monosling." The well-designed pack (for men & women) features the distinctive red Swiss Gear embossed metal logo, a padded shoulder strap w/ built-in pocket, reinforced with wire for security, and a large enough main compartment for essential items. I carry green bags for further shopping, folded, they fit inside the bag nicely. Unfortunately, in the faux city where I live, so few people walk rather than drive that if you wear a large backpack, you're gonna get mistaken for a street-resident. This efficient, durable, elegant pack avoids misunderstandings; great after I bought a cheap pack that fell apart. You can't go wrong here.

Excellent (one shoulder) sling-bag, but it only has two ackward-to-access compartments and one small slot for a phone. This only comes in all black, as expected. Small is good when traveling and this is as small as expected; sizing is difficult as this is triangular and arrives flat. This bag has little flaps to tuck in the 2 zipper pulls, which are nice. This has an easily adjustible strap; no anti-slice-safety-wire but with an adjustable clip and large shoulder-pad you do not need or want one. I understand if a mono-bag is bigger and weighed down they tend to swing around if you lean forward. This feels very good and seems high quality. I discovered Swiss Gear had a sling-bag, comes in many colors, cost less, and has 4 nice usable compartments, and a phone slot, great build quality yet is the same small size, has no hidden zipper ends but 2 of the four can easily be fastened at the holes, one zipper is covered and one is hidden. I got to compare the two. If Swiss gear did not make a sling-bag this Victorinox would be my choice. I recommend a Swiss Gear sling bag first, then this bag (it IS very nice, but pockets ackward), I would buy a Swiss Gear bag again (not this one, only because Swiss Gear seems more what I wanted), and I hope this helps someone.

Exceptional bag. The size is perfect for what I need, which is a bag I can take with me to work easily. Yes, it's small. Please do not be surprised by this, that would be like getting a two door car and complaining that it's not four doors...you can expect to fit about one shirt folded in the main pouch, along with charger cables. Headphones (in-ear) and cleaning cloth fit nicely in top pocket. If you need to bring a change of clothes to work and keep a charger and headphones nearby, this bag is the bag for you. Also, buckle to unhook bag is super helpful to take on and off. Great product.

This bag arrived very quickly and was packed securely and safely. It came in a presentation box that itself was first class and the bag is just a thing of beauty. It is made of high quality material that is so strong yet soft and pliable. The zips are so smooth and sturdy and sit in a 'hood' when closed for extra security. The front compartment is small and ideal for such as a moble phone or slim camera and the main compartment is quite suitable for the variety of items that I wish to carry around with me in an 'every day' mode. Both compartments are lined. The strap is comfortable and has a small zipped compartment suitable for keys or MP3 or such but a touch too small for modern mobile smart phones. The whole bag is beautifully made, looks terrific, comfortable, practical and very convenient as an every day carry bag. I have never owned such a quality bag and I find it perfect for daily use. I use a larger rucksack for shopping trips or venturing further afield because I need more items but, every day use... I cannot recommend this highly enough.

Far too small for an adult (won't even hold a 750 ml bottle of wine or a common hardcover novel). I didn't see dimensions in the description (possibly my fault, possibly not listed) so it came as a surprise when it arrived. Rather than returning it I gave it to my four year old grandson who loved it (but when he starts going to school it will only hold a small lunch and his cell phone, of course, because the strap has a little compartment for it.....as long as it's a small phone....my android won't fit).

Order this for my son when he was going on a trip to Europe. Perfectly fit everything he needed for his personal items.

Summary - Fantastic bag. It's a bit pricey however its quality is second to none. I have had this bag for about a week now and have had no problems with it so far. It is lightweight and although I haven't used it in this way yet I already know it will be great for cycling and running. However it is a little smaller than I expected, which typically wouldn't bother me too much as I don't mind the size, but for the price it is a little disapointing. That being said the quality is perfect and as it's made by Victorinox you know it will last a long time, and can feel that when you are using it. One quick suggestion is that you may want to get a black elastic band as when you tighten the strap the cord can become quite long (For me it does anyway) and so it hangs quite loose. That would be a quick fix with an elastic band though so nothing to worry about.
