Chattanooga Theratherm Digital Moist Heating Pad, Medium (14" x 14")

This is a great product for people with shoulders and lower neck pain. The shape is perfect for the shoulders and the lower neck. It doesn't really get very high on your neck but you should be able to see that from the photo. I didn't not have the problems other people had with it shutting off and it seems to stay on the entire time I set it for. Also this product remembered what I had it set to before but only while its plugged in which makes it almost useless because who would leave a heating device plugged in all the time? I don't see this as a big problem however as the settings move very fast if you hold them down so you can reset it quickly. The instructions are very long and filled with information that could follow the instructions. Here are the basic steps: 1. HOLD the on/off button to turn it on 2. Set and set the temp 3. Press "select" 4. Enter the time 5. PRESS the on/off button to start heating While I really like the device and the shape makes it perfect regardless of these issues I would like them to fix them: PROS: 1. Wonderful shape. The "U" shape is great for my shoulders and lower neck (See cons too). 2. Weight. It is just heavy enough to hold itself down but not make it hard to sit up. It seems to stay in place even when I move around at my desk and when I am sitting on the couch. 3. Temp control is great. My wife doesn't like it as hot so it is great for her to just lower the temp. CONS: 1. It doesn't get to 166 degrees. After using it for a while I could clearly tell it would get very hot but not 160 degrees. I tested this with two different measurement tools. That is not to say that it isn't the perfect temp for most of the time however I would like it to actually reach its stated temp so I could do some deep heat therapy. 2. I wish it would cover higher on the neck but that might take away from the solders so it is maybe a pro/con. Also it is either velcroed together for the neck or open for the shoulders. I wish it was just a little larger to cover both. That may not be an issue if you are small than me as I have very broad shoulders and am very tall. In face it actually fits very well considering my height so maybe this is more of a pro! Despite the cons this is a wonderful item and I cannot recommend it enough.

Every time I have a period, I have horrible cramps. This is the perfect size and shape to lay across my hurting abdomen, and I love love love the heat therapy! It seriously helps with the pain. I like that you can change the temperature and set the timer for up to an hour. That's a good time for a cutoff, to prevent burns while still helping for as long as humanly tolerated. I've had many heating pads and bottles over the years, and this one is by far the best. I've had it for about 5 years and it still works like a dream! Totally worth the money (I was very broke at the time but desperate for heat therapy to help with my cramps. So worth it.)

This is a great size to cover your whole back. It is simple to set the time and temperature. We love it so much that we bought a second one.

This item was shipped to me and is not returnable. I received a broken and used heating pad that does not work at all. I am stuck with it and have no recourse. I am highly disappointed and will never order this brand again as a result of receiving a dead heating pad with a cover that clearly looks used with little fuzz balls on it. I have other heating pads by this manufacturer which are wonderful, but this bad apple had destroyed my faith in the heating pad, the merchant, and the manufacturer. It is unconscionable that Amazon as well as this money hungry seller will not stand behind a product that arrived DEFUNCT! Shame on you both! I will have to find another brand to buy that hopefully goes as hot as this one can but has longer than 30 minutes. To note, this is my fifth purchase of THIS EXACT heating pad in about four years. I am a heavy user. All the other ones lasted from 6-9 months. I have similar experience with other sizes as well. I wish this heating pad actually was built to last, because when it operates, it is best heating pad I have ever found. #verydisappointed

Bought my first three years ago, used it so much I wore out the connection on the power button. Now I'm buying a replacement. If that's not an endorsement, I don't know what is. POSITIVES: * This heating pad heats up quickly and maintains a consistent temperature- which you can set down to the specific degree, rather than getting stuck with a couple of presets to choose from. * The cover is washable. * The heating pad itself has a decent heft to it, which helps it stay in place. * It doesn't really cover the neck, like it says it does, just the shoulders. * The one-hour safety shutoff is a little annoying, but honestly probably a good idea? * It beeps when you plug it in, when you turn it on, when you adjust a setting, and when it completes a cycle. These beeps can be a bit obnoxious if you, say, have a sleeping partner next to you, but are not all that loud. * As indicated above, the contact on the power button wore out after 3 years of (pretty heavy) use. Obviously, I consider the positives to outweigh the negatives, but YMMV. Enjoy!

Apart from its misleading label, our 15 x 7 theratherm is the best heating pad we've ever owned. Regarding its label: a) The word "moist" in "Digital Moist Heating Pad" refers to the "moisture ... drawn from the humidity in the air" of the room in which it is used, and so this product is really what the rest of the world calls a "dry" heating pad. (Philosophical questions: How "tall" is "short"? How "moist" is "dry"?) b) Also, the word "digital" means only that this product uses numbers -- as distinct from such words as "high," medium," and "low" -- in the LCD display of its control unit. Still, once one gets past its misleading label, this product works great.

Este cojín caliente húmedo es una maravilla. Mis padres lo usan por la artritis y es realmente excelente para ellos. Yo lo uso si me lastimo la espalda y con un par de días de usarlo el músculo se relaja y sigo adelante. Lo recomiendo ampliamente.

He utilizado este producto para desinflamar el tendón del dedo pulgar y es excelente. Por su tamaño está muy bien para la mano y calienta muy bien; se puede programar el tiempo y la temperatura. Además es muy fácil de utilizar. Es de uso fusioterapéutico solamente. Lo recomiendo.
