Skye (our dog) knots badly if she wears a harness a lot so unless we are walking around town or out for lunch she is just wearing her collar. Unfortunately she pulls a bit on her lead when just wearing a collar, so we need a collar to be secure and strong yet look nice, as she is a pretty girl.The Embark collar is all of these things, with good strong stitching and fittings we are confident in it holding her if she pulls hard. The D ring is very sturdy as is the clip while remaining easy to undo. It's also easy to adjust when fitting but holds when you have the right size.When selection colors we liked the design but actually like it even more in reality with a few people already commenting while out walking.We did get the lead as well and the combo work really well together.

As a steadfast pessimist when it comes to clip collars I was actually impressed by the strength in this collar! Owning three large breed (40kg+) dogs, all of which have a high prey drive, I am always pretty careful about what I use for walking as above everything else it has to keep my dog safe! I am happy to say that even when my strongest puller was trying to drag me across the field, the clasp remained tight and we had no issues at all!We love the styling on this collar, it looks gorgeous on any colour of dog and the rainbow stripes are in all colours making it a good match for handsome boys or pretty girls! The large size easily fitted my biggest dog (large GSD size), and was even adjustable enough to just about fit on my smallest dog (spaniel size, although I would recommend going for a medium for this size breed).It's strong, washes easily and doesn't seem to rub the fur on my double-coated dogs like we've found some flat collars to do in the past. Great for walks in the town or out and about in the countryside.

We bought the matching collar and lead set in the aztec pattern for our Labrador. The purple/lilac shades go really nicely with a black coat. The collar is comfortable for him, with no obvious itchy edging sticking out anywhere. There is also a nice leather patch detailing with the embark logo. The strap is obviously good quality and strong. Really classy combo for adventures!

Nearly lost my dog.When I first brought this collar I noticed it can come undone if not clipped correctly. At the start of my walks I always double and triple check his collar to make sure I won’t do this. Today we were walking and it just came undone, I had checked it at the start of the walk and it was fine. My dog was scared by the collar falling off and ran straight into the road, thankfully an oncoming car slowed down just in time. Please do not buy this my dog could’ve died because of this faulty item. Beyond furious.

This is a quality collar that looks great and is finished up to great standard, great value for money. I like the material, the little dog logo and the pattern a lot. It’s great it has the safety feature as I wouldn’t buy a collar without it, however it’s so solid I’m unsure if it would actually open under pressure. I might just be a worrying pants as my dogs play a lot with each other so I just take it off when they are at home without my supervision, just in case.

This collar is such a nice design, the colours in the urban range are just amazing and the Boho design that i chose for the collar and lead combination has had several compliments on how nice it looks rather than a regular plain collar. The material is soft on the inside so doesn't rub the neck. The attention to detail is brilliant with the small leather logo embroidered on the lead for a nice finishing touch, the decent size plastic clasp and the black metal loop to att ach the lead all work very well to make a very nice collar.

I was really pleased when I found this collar. I had been looking for something a little different but with a clip fastening rather than a buckle. I ordered one for our older dog with the intention of getting another for our pup once he has grown to his adult size.But... how disappointing. The first time we put it on Hugo it became thread-pulled as soon as he scratched it (which he always does when we put his collar on). One week in and it is just a mess. So much so, that I will now be ordering our second choice, a brand that I know will withstand everything that Hugo can put it through.Very disappointed

I bought this and the matching lead and although it's too soon to comment on durability, I'm pleased with the quality and style/colour. I'm a little wary of the plastic side release buckle - it seems strong enough, but my dog really pulls at the start of a walk and with hindsight I should probably have chosen a conventional buckle with holes. Only time will tell!
