Lock is hard to turn with the key.
Sent one back because the key would not turn the lock. The new lock is still very hard to turn with a key but serves my function fine. Maybe it will break in.

Good quality but stiff key mechanism needed to be loosened with WD40

Good idea, not good quality
It was easy to install in the door and worked good for awhile. After a year the lock cylinder broke somehow and now it comes out with the key. Not very pleased for paying so much for it.

Looks fine, but made of poor quality plastic and plated metal. Stay away!!!!

Huge Disappointment for the Money
I winter my boat in Alaska. Fool me once, shame on you, Fool me twice, shame on me. I bought this lock twice over the years and both times within two years (first purchase) and one year (second purchase) the key lock corroded out and failed. I tried anti corrosion sprays, the works. A 316 alloy stainless steel device would be the better choice, particularly for the money charged for this device. Avoid this item.
