Hanes Men's Beefy Long Sleeve Shirt, 1 or 2 Pack

Quality shirts. On the small end of small spectrum but still fit wonderfully. The smoke grey long sleeve shirts look very slick, I like them and would recommend them. Also, can’t beat the price of 13 bucks for two. 5’9 137 lbs

Update: Jan2025: Frosty weather is washing over my normally toasty Southern state so I've been layering and sleeping in my Beefy T. I decided to order a few more so returned here to order and was astounded to see the shirt I'm wearing now was ordered 10 years ago! No, it's not worn every day, but still, it's endured many washings in various water temperatures. It has shrunk a tad though not severely. The thickness is still adequate, though I wish it was a tad heavier. I'd given it 4 stars before for it's only moderate thickness but think it merits that fifth star now. Recommended for layering, though I have worn it alone on occasion.ORIGINAL REVIEW: I saw these Beefy-T's mentioned, of all places, in a Consumer Reports review of sun screens. The report mentioned specialized clothing that comes impregnated with substances that inhibit UVA and UVB rays from reaching the skin and said while they seem effective that these Hanes T's also had impressive results though not designed for that purpose. Living in the sun-intense Southern U.S., that's something that concerns me and I tend to wear long sleeve shirts by preference anyway. I wanted something that could be worn casually with jeans without looking cheap and that would be durable without being too heavy in the heat. My first reaction, on opening the package was that they seemed less "beefy" then I'd expected and only modestly thicker than conventional material. My second concern is that while they fit well, though slightly less generous then I expected, that after several washings they might actually be a bit snug. Well, after several washings, shrinkage hasn't seemed a factor, though I do wash clothes in cold water and dry them at medium heat. Fit and finish are both good. For comparison sake, I ordered a similar T from LL Bean, a company with a reputation for rugged and durable clothing. That T was slightly heavier, slightly more generous in it's cut, and the stitching and finish were superior. But the cost was well over twice as much, making me realize what a great value these Hanes are especially at what seems to be their on sale price price for a two pack. Can I recommend them? I'll have to see how they hold up after repeated use and washings, but so far I think they make a great value for the price and can highly recommend them for value, comfort, quality and according to Consumer Reports, even great protection from the sun's damaging rays!

I have had many Hanes Beefy T's in the past, and they have been beefy. These not so much, more mideweight. Fit is true to size, I wear a men's medium and it fits perfectly. I have ordered a couple differnet colors fo these and some are all cotton, some 90% or less according to the descriptions.What I also found at least from my small orders is that the fabric weight varied by country of manufacture. So far I have found the ones made in Honduras were noticably heavier than the ones made in Haiti. You of course can't choose, but it shows (I think) less than great quality control. The construction itself seems fine but I haven't worn them long enough to speak to how they stand up long term. I would buy them again.

I.Love.This. Shirt. Nice and thick and made from soft cotton. I am a small-ish lady with a big chest, and female shirts are so hard to fit. So I sometimes get men's shirts, but they shrink. These beefy fit gives me enough chest room, even after washing with a small amount of shrinkage. So soft and comfy. Well definitely buy more

As of the date of this review, there's a problem on the sliver/gray 2X where it will only put a 1X in your cart. That said, looking at the 1X I received, the shirt appears to be of great quality. Very soft, thick material and the color is spot on. Matches other common light gray sweats perfectly. Highly recommended if you can get the correct size :)

Fits true to size. Very generous in the length. The fabric is heavier than most 100% cotton shirts. Not sure if it will shrink, or not, with repeated washings. Time will tell....

These tee's are heavy weight cotton, which is what I was looking for to do yard work. The price is good. However, I am returning them because of the strange way they are cut. The shirts are extremely wide across the shoulders, under the arms and in the top half of the sleeves. But the chest and lower body portion narrow so much that the shirt is not comfortable. The extra material near the top just sticks out and the rest of the shirt hugs the body. The sleeves are also too wide at the top and too narrow in the lower arm. I ordered the large which is what I usually wear in most brands. I would not be able to wear this shirt in a different size. It's just a bad cut. Update: I decided to try washing them in cold water and drying on low to see if the fit improved - big mistake. These shirts really shrink. Now the chest and arms are really tight. These shirts might work for someone who is really thin in the shoulders and chest. I will have to use them when washing the car, not to wear, but as rags.
