Amazon Basics Compressor Guitar Pedal, Fully Analog Circuit with True Bypass, Silver

This is amazing for the price. I use in line before the distortion pedal. I use very low distortion and turn the compressor knobs on 6-9 and use this compressor to add more gain and its smooth. This thing really shines on clean. It can give your sound that "squish" and dialing in your pick attack can make a difference in your playing. And all 3 knobs are responsive. A must have. I've used other compressors and never had one this good. Does not have an adapter. Red indicator light. True bypass.

Amazon Basics has it figured out, definitely in guitar pedals. This compressor pedal is absolutely super! It is easy to set up and use; I didn’t notice any “extra” noise coming from the pedal in either engaged or bypass mode. The sound is true and accurate, I will keep buying Amazon Basics as they become available, that’s for sure.

It doesn't have much range to fine toon - it's either subtle or overpowering, but it works in certain situations. Don't expect to be able to dial in a perfect transient punch. Expect to use level adjustment elsewhere in the signal chain if you need it to be perfectly aligned with other pedals. If you're poor this is great, but buy from a respectable company or boutique builder if you can.

I am just starting to use this solid pedal and can't testify to its longevity. My SE team at church and bandmates commented on my improved fit in the mix, and the subsequent playback sounded pro, so no complaints.

Being that this pedal is not a top name brand it does the job just fine. It’s a simple basic compressor pedal. Sounds fine for what it is and what it costs. Seems pretty durable although my pedal has something loose rattling around inside of it. Hence the 3 star rating. Everything on the pedal functions properly but there’s something inside the pedal that came undone and rattles if you were to give it a shake. I don’t wanna risk opening it up and trying to find it myself because knowing my luck I’ll probably break or mess up the pedal. But like I said everything from the switch to knobs function properly as it should. We’ll see how it lasts after a few months of band practice.

I like this compressor...it has a unique tone kind of like a MXR or the like so it definitely isn't like a transparent compressor. Great tone though. It takes a little bit of tweaking to get used to it and finding it's sweet spots.

This thing is garbage. It worked as a compressor but it does is introduce hum into my setup and it “pops” sometimes making a super loud noise. If i had plugged this into my tube amp instead of my solid state im 100% certain this thing would destroy it. Do not buy this.

I have been playing with this unit over the course of months. It is a basic compressor, but that is exactly what I needed at the start of my guitar effects chain. You have to play with the attack and sustain knobs to find a sound that works for you, which takes some time, but all compressors have this issue. There is no knee or release setting, which can be nice to have when dialing in specific dynamics. I wouldn’t suggest that diming the compressor will give you reliable limiting either. Knowing what I bought, this unit does what it says on the tin well and will help anyone starting to build out an effects chain well. Would buy again.

For the price and the reviews I decided to order it, figuring it was no big loss if it sucked. It came in pretty much the next day (in a bag albeit) and it’s unbelievably tiny compared to most pedals, but most of that is the absence of a battery compartment- no problem for me, I use a power supply for all my pedals. The sound is unbelievable for the price, and the controls are simple. It sounds as good as some of the higher priced ones...maybe not as good as some of the hand wired boutique stuff out there, but as good if not better than a BOSS or Digitech. The tiny size makes it easy to fit into a cramped pedal board while still having a big enough switch to be able to easily step on it. It definitely needs to be secured to your board though, the small size and weight makes it very to knock it on its side just by stepping on the button. It has a good range of tone and adjustment and it throttles my full tube Traynor and Garnet amps back enough to not annoy my attached neighbours but it still allows my overdrive pedal to kick the amps into total overdrive. All in all, very happy. I’ve ordered the delay already as well which will ship as soon as it’s in stock, and I might even try the tuner and the others that they offer. Can’t be beat for the price and quick shipping.

Bueno y barato le falta un poco de efectividad para mi, pero yo quería algo compacto y funcional y por color y tamaño me gustó.

Solid construction and easy to use typical compression controls. I will say the pedal clicks on very loudly when engaged, and is kind of noisy. But for the money it's a great cheap comp to use at home. Would spring for a better one Live
