Prepology 3-piece BBQ Kitchen Tong Set with Silicone Accents and Locking Feature Black

I was tired of tongs that didn't have a good grip or worse yet, were cheaply made and didn't line up perfectly which would prevent a solid grip on food and let it slip out.Not so with these tongs, they have a solid feel, line up correctly, and hold the food securely. The 3 sizes are a plus as well and ensure that regardless of grill size, you'll have the right length for the job. I also like the innovative locking mechanism which keeps them from spreading open and taking all the room in the drawer or cabinet where you store them.Time will tell if the silicon grips hold up to the repeated high heat of a grill but so far, I'm impressed with the quality, grip strength, inexpensive price, and the length variation.

The media could not be loaded.  This set of kitchen tongs is far and away the best I have ever had. They are comfortable to hold and the locking mechanism is easy to use. With a flip they either lock or unlock smoothly with no need to shake the tongs to engage the lock. The scoop is a generous size and made of silicone so it is safe to use with a nonstick pan. The convenience of three sizes allows for many uses including on the grill, on the stove top and are still pretty enough to serve with. I can't think of a single improvement and would recommend them for every kitchen. I have included a video to show the ease of use.

These tongs are the best and the Amazon price was great.They have a unique one-handed locking mechanism that is the greatest and easiest to use. You point them up, squeeze and they lock. You point them down, squeeze and they unlock. No more knobs that unlock on their own in the drawer. No more sliding and pushing to lock. The tongs themselves are very strong. They have a coated end, but it isn't floppy like the KitchenAid. Very comfortable to grip and handle. I really only wanted the medium size, but have found myself using the smaller one even more. It had no problem turning a 1.5 pound steak. The longer one I'm reserving for the grill.

I already had one set of these from QVC and fell in love with them. They don't carry them anymore so when I decided I wanted a 2nd set I finally found them on Amazon. I tried a different type during the interim but disliked them so much I would never use them so I gave them away and started my search for the right ones. These are so quick and easy to lock and unlock, you hold the ends up to lock and turn the ends down to unlock. One handed, quick and super easy!!!!!

There's no twisting involved in latching and unlatching the stay-shut mechanism. If it's pointing at all up it latches, which can be an irritating learning curve, and they're useless if you're trying to use them while pointed up.The one-handed release and lock when pointing them down is great.

I bought these because they were like the one I had previously. I was specifically looking for tongs that would stay closed without the need to pull a "tab" on the end of the tong. These fit the bill. Just a rotation of the wrist to tilt the tongs upright and they stay closed. One-handed operation. They seem to be sturdy and good quality. I'll likely use the mid-size one most frequently but having the option of 3 sizes is a plus.

Broke after 2 months (three uses.) Received June 7,broken by August 24th. This isn't a utensil that is used daily on my household, so I'm shocked that after three uses it took a crap.

Very nice set! especially for someone who doesn't have the hand strength to push and pull on that little ring to lock and unlock. Hopefully the mechanism will hold up afet being dishwashed a dozen times.
