Hamilton Beach 76700 Electric Can Opener

This is the worst electric can opener that I have ever used. Every time its a battle to get the can in the right magic spot where it will actually puncture and run the mechanism. There are a thousand ways you can put the can up to the blade and have it not fit, or fit but not activate. The first time I used it, it was a struggle. the second time a breeze, since then, hit and miss. I would return it, but I don't have the time or packaging. Interestingly, I found the same can opener today in a pile of junk at our local thrift store, minus the detachable part. Perhaps someone else found it hard to use too.

It works but putting the can in the right place can be really hard. I have only had it for a few months put the part that you remove to clean has rust on it. I have a feeling that it won’t last a year.

Great quality, you can't go wrong for the buck.Opens flawlessly small cans. It is a little too light for bigger cans as it will fail to keep upright,

It’s easy to use , fast , it costs 30 dollars , a good manual can opener would cost the same , so why not buy an electric one !Cons: the magnet that holds the lid broke after 6 months of use , so i was disappointed because it was made out of plastic,but the can opener still works & i love it

I suffer from arthritis in my hands. I ordered this can opener so I wouldn’t have to bother my husband every time I want to open a can. Well, I can’t use it. The cans don’t stick to the magnet, etc...
