Rocky Mountain May Trip
These are a must if you plan to do any hiking in/around any mountains with snow still remaining on trail. Went on a trip to Rocky Mountain National Park in May, and there was still quite a bit of snow on a few of the trails we wanted to do. We definitely would not have been able to make it past the first lake of one of our trails if we did not have these on hand. In my opinion, these are better than the other style without the true spikes. With how many people we saw slipping and sliding in regular shoes, I would say these are well worth the price. Also, my mother who has balance issues would not have made it on the trail at all without these. Since the rubber had a good amount of stretch for the fit, they worked really well on my Zamberlan hiking boots as well as my mom’s Merrells. Felt tight and sturdy on both and did not offer to slip, but were also very easy to take off and put on.

A must have
If you’re hiking in the mountains in the winter these are a must have. They’re sturdy and fit snuggly on hiking boots. Easy enough to put on in bad weather, and add a lot of traction. Great for inclines covered in snow that has melted and refrozen.

Navigating Iceland's Winter Wonderland: A Crampons Ice Cleats Adventure
In the heart of Iceland's winter, the Crampons Ice Cleats proved to be the unsung hero of my girlfriend's two-week escapade. Beyond providing traction, these cleats became a reliable source of security in the midst of Iceland's icy wonders. The 19 stainless steel spikes embedded in the cleats were nothing short of a game-changer. Whether traversing frosty glaciers or navigating slippery trails, they ensured a firm grip, instilling confidence during hikes, walks, and even impromptu climbs. My girlfriend specifically appreciated the stability they offered, making each step on the icy terrain a safe and sure one. It brings me peace of mind knowing she's having fun while staying safe! The silicone construction of the cleats made them remarkably easy to put on and take off. Their stretchable nature accommodated different shoe sizes; my girlfriend is a women's size 9. The adjustment was a breeze, allowing her to adapt swiftly to changing landscapes and activities.Safety took center stage, especially during hiking and climbing adventures. The stainless steel spikes performed admirably, digging into the ice and preventing slips. The durable build of the cleats stood up to the challenges of Iceland's diverse winter terrains. The travel-friendly design was a significant advantage. Negotiating airport security checks was a breeze, and the cleats, with their compact size, found a snug place in her suitcase. This portability meant they were readily available whenever needed, adding to the spontaneity of their Icelandic exploration. In conclusion, the Crampons Ice Cleats exceeded expectations, proving to be an indispensable asset for winter explorations in Iceland. Their reliable traction, ease of use, and robust safety features made them a must-have for navigating the frozen wonders of Iceland. Whether trekking through snow-covered landscapes or navigating icy trails, these cleats stood the test of Iceland's winter challenges, earning their place as an essential companion for winter adventures.

Used in the Grand Canyon in winter, worked great!
I live in Arizona and didn’t want to spend a ton of money on crampons since I don’t use them often. I have a 7.5 trail running shoe that I wore these on as well as a 7 sized Hiking boot that they fit on. They We’re comfortable and stayed on my feet exactly where they needed to be without the strap. They were easy to carry and lightweight enough for backpacking trips. I’ve used them twice and they seem to hold up, but for true review on that I would need to take them out a few more times.

So far, they work great with thick sheets of Alaskan ICE.
Where I live in Alaska, it can be VERY icy. I have been putting OFF on wearing these because I get embarrassed by the LOUD crunching noise they make on the ice/snow. However, I decided to put them ON because my other cleats were wearing down and I didn't want to buy another pair if I had these ones lying around in my home. So far, I find that these work GREAT on the thick layers of ice that develop on the ground, including sidewalks and roads. One concern/downfall I should forewarn you about is that you can EASILY slip with them ON if you are walking on concrete and other slippery floor surfaces [such as laminate]--best not to wear them on any type of floor, or be careful if you must. Another concern/downfall is that they can get stuck in grates, such as sewer grates. Also, if you must walk UP/DOWN a set of metal stairs that have holes in them, be VERY careful because you could get stuck in them too. One last concern/downfall is that if there is lose snow on top of the ice, be very careful because you could possibly slip. With the mentioned concerns/downfalls, you should still walk slowly and walk/shuffle like a penguin. I am not sure how long they will last because I have only been wearing them for a couple of weeks; I am hoping they last me through more than one winter. In conclusion, they are very good product to have.I gave a 5 star rating because of how well they work on ICE and they don't take too long to put them ON--best to sit down when putting them on. I believe I would purchase these again in the future. I forgot to mention that you should be careful when putting them ON because the metal chains can get a little tangled.

Very effective
These work super well and don’t slide around on my feet like other brands I have used in the past. Winter hikes are now a breeze and I don’t have to stare at the ground to watch my step on the snow or ice.

Here's why I recommend them:Secure Footing on Icy Trails:The solid build quality inspires confidence.Easy to slip on and off for quick transitions between icy and non-icy sections of the trail. No slipping experienced, even on steep inclines or sheer ice.Great Fit and Durability:Fit our winter boots perfectly, providing a secure and comfortable grip. The spikes held up well, even on rugged terrain.Overall:A fantastic investment for winter hiking, especially in Banff National Park's icy conditions. These crampons provided excellent traction and peace of mind, allowing us to fully enjoy our hikes. Highly recommended!

Snow, ice grips.
In no way do these spikes replace a 10/12 point crampon, but they do serve a purpose and they do it very well. I recently hiked the Tarmachan Ridge in full winter condition. Powdery snow with wind scarred ice sections. These spikes gave confidence under foot, very easy to put on and are a must to keep in your pack when it's possible you might encounter slippy conditions. Sometimes the conditions don't merrit a full crampon, this is where these spikes come into their own. Well made and great for the price.

You need this during deep winter
Bought two pairs of crampons for our recent Lofoten, Norway trip. This crampon is simply awesome; it has very good grip on snow and especially icy surfaces. My wife and I could move around confidently without fear of falling.

Secure, durable, easy to use.
Picked up these cleats after my previous pair failed me on ice. The difference is night and day. They fit snugly on my boots, never slipping or shifting, a must in my line of work where stability is non-negotiable. The spikes provide excellent traction, making walks on icy paths feel secure. I've worn them daily since purchase, and they've held up well, no wear or tear yet. They're straightforward to put on and remove, saving me precious time in the morning. For anyone who braves icy terrains, these are a solid choice. Already planning to get another pair for a family member.
