Great DETAIL knife
What you see is what you get. The handle is comfortable and not finished with a slick finish. The blade is thin and surprisingly long. As they tell you in the description they come only roughly sharpened and require honing to make them useful. Fortunatly I like sharpening knives so that was no hardship for me. After a little work it became insanely sharp and seems to hold that level real well. The metal is about perfectly hardened and tempered and even with a below 10 degree edge it doesn't chip and all you need to do to keep it sharp is a little stropping.I can actually get this sort of sharp on most carving knives but only the ones with very good and well tempered carbon steel will stay that way for long in that sort of super thin edge. Now understand this is a detail knife. It is not intended for nor will it hold up to much ham fisted prying. The tip is actually beyond needle sharp and will easily shave bass wood or hair with almost no effort. It would also most likely break or bend if abused. If you want a knife for the lightest finish work this knife might not be for you. It is like the smallest fine tipped xacto blades except of a finer quality and edge. I love it. It was exactly what I wanted for whittling whimsy things like wooden chains and ball in boxes.

Very thin. Pointed
Very long thin blade great for fine detail. Be aware this is a fine detail knife. Not suitable for actual carving. But clean up and fine tuning it's great.

Disapw
I expected it to be sharper. I bought it for detailing around eyes. So far I have been disappointed

Good specialty carving knife.
Overall length, 7"; blade length, 1 3/8"; handle, 5 5/8"; blade thickness (thickest point at handle), .050", tapers to .015" at the point; width of blade by the handle, .290". See photo with comparison to my Murphy knife and index finger. This knife comes with statement that final honing is required. Sharpening is a little difficult because of thinness flexing at the point, but can be done. This knife is very good for places a normal knife will not access, which is why I consider it a specialty knife, I don't use it for most carving chores, much flexing the closer to the point. If the point is too thin for you, you can always grind it back a little to suit your own purposesWorks well for some of those tiniest details.
