Professional quality
I did a month of research before committing to this kit. You will spend twice the price on this kit compared to the ones in the big box home improvement stores but it is worth the investment. This is a high quality epoxy rated for 20+ years. if you get a cheaper kit you will see it wear off and flake in a few short years. Those kits contain water sometimes and this kit is 100% epoxy. The kit comes with just about everything you need. In addition, I would recommend: Paint roller, shoes you will throw away, plastic mat or dedicated area to mix, drill to attach to the included mixing attachment, and gloves. The seller is great. She was very accommodating and allowed me to pick my own color flake chips. Installation took about 4 hours by myself. I did not need to grind the concrete as it was a new house and didn't have any stains or residue on it. I did the acid wash that comes with the kit though which preps the surface. Everyone comments about how great the floor looks. It's easy on the feet and a breeze to clean up. 1 year update: We are approaching one year with my floor being installed. I continue to be impressed. There is no peeling or wear anywhere on the floor. We park the cars on it every day. I have spilled oil on it and other chemicals, but they all wipe up like water. There is not even a stain where the oil was. I have even waited a couple weeks with oil on the floor before cleaning it up, it wiped right up. If there is one thing i regret, it's using the optional gripping salt that comes with the kit. It gives the floor some grab when you're walking on it, but it makes it a little harder to clean, kinda like wiping a fine grain sandpaper. ----- Two and a half years later, there is no peeling or staining. Very easy to clean! Still extremely satisfied!

Terrific product
I purchased this product after researching several brands. I covered 2500 sq ft. My contractor loves this product! Self leveling and shines great without a top coat. Follow up review: This product is still great on the floors but my husband spilled something on it and used some kind of cleaner to clean it up, not sure what it was, but it actually created a chemical reaction on the floor in that spot that made the floor sticky. Now I have this great big spot on my new bakery floor right before opening that won't harden no matter what. But I can't find any contact information for the seller to ask the questions. It says that it is resistant to chemicals, I sure hope so because this was done in a commercial bakery kitchen. Now I have these big dark patches right at the entry of my new bakery

Buyer Beware!
Purchased (2x) 500 sq. ft. - Products arrived in 2 - 5 gallon buckets both containing 2 smaller buckets inside each one; larger 2 gallon marked 'A' and a 2nd 1 gallon also marked 'A', along with a 4 LB bag of white flakes. Both contained what I believe now was just black paint. The result for mixing these now, as I hoped they were just mislabeled, is a sticky residue all over our basement floor that will not dry no matter how much time or heat has been applied. *Review posted 80+ hours after application.

Flake
The product seemed to work good just be careful when you spread the flakes to be even and don't run out. I wish it wasn't so shiny more of a semi gloss.

Great product, preparation is important
This is the second time I’ve used Epoxy-Coat for a garage floor coating. The first time was my own garage, and this time was for my neighbor. For someone with little to no experience, it was pretty easy to apply to a two car garage. My only advice is to do some research on how to apply it. First off, I absolutely could not do it on my own. The exothermic reaction that occurs when you mix the two-part epoxy happens fairly quick, so we needed one person to pour and spread while the other rolled it out with the paint roller. By the time we were at the end of the project the epoxy was thick and more difficult to spread, so speed is important. Other than that, make sure to use the acid solution the day before to clean the surface. I found a leaf blower very useful to dry the concrete surface after rinsing. The floor was completely dry the next day. My only complaint (not enough to remove any stars) is that the squeegee included in the kit is really small. I ended up getting a 24-inch heavy duty squeegee with a broom handle, which worked really well to spread the epoxy. Also, you might want to invest in the spiked shoes. If you accidentally (or intentionally) walk through the wet epoxy your shoes/shoe covers will stick and mess up the coating. Overall though, I definitely give this product 5 stars. It’s MUCH cheaper than getting the garage floor professionally done. As long as you don’t mind some minor DIY flaws (some bubbles, missed spots, etc.) this will probably save you at least a couple thousand dollars over hiring a contractor.

Best Product Out there!!
Absolutely love this product!! When I tell you this is good quality it really is. Plus for the price you can’t beat it. I was able to complete the project in 2.5 hours. In total it took me 5 days. Day 1: I washed the floor with Zep Concrete cleaner. Day2: Next day I etched with dry lock and let dry Day 3: Next day I etched with the solution provided with the kit and let dry Day 4: I caulked cracks and let dry Day 5: I laid epoxy When people say the prep is the most important part they are not kidding. Don’t be lazy with this process! I feel like the prep made it so much easier and the epoxy looks and feels very durable. Also the tip about hitting the flakes on the ceiling gives a perfect even spread. I was able to apply the epoxy in two batches and didn’t have any issues with it setting fast. I live in South Georgia where it is always hot and humid. I did it earlier in the morning when it wasn’t too hot to make sure I had time to work the product about 70 degrees or so outside. If you can apply in the morning do so.

Trying to pass on what I know so far.
I am in the process of still applying so I can not attest to durability issues and, of course, they are quite important. I can say this so far: My less than 400 sf garage is 2/3 coated and I am out of material which they said would cover 500 sf. Still. I realize that how you apply it, especially using a squeegee makes a big difference and apparently i applied it heavily. The squeegee is too small and there is no handle supplied for it. But, it works. I have ordered another half kit and spent an additional two hundred dollars. I was quite concerned before application that the tools would be unusable after applying the first section, since they say you have 20 minutes to work, but for whatever reason the brush (very cheap) and other tools keep working. I think the directions are intimidating although I can see the obvious attempt to make the user aware of how important the prep and mixing are. Reading the warrantee I can see that they are pretty much saying just about every problem that may arise will not be the fault of the product. Customer service is a lady who seems annoyed when you call. I think she may be the entire "tech support" department. Bubbles have started to form as I watch it dry. They say use a blower to remove bubbles, but of course they didn't form until I was too far away to reach them with a blower. Hope it lasts but I have always had this feeling that concrete wasn't really made to be coated with anything, except maybe a clear sealer of some sort, unless it is interior, and then you don't really need epoxy. Hope this product proves me wrong, at least for my garage. Update: Still waiting for additional product and they say it will be picked up by UPS today, three days after ordering, so I don't think they have their act together. Meanwhile my garage is in disarray waiting to be finished. On a positive note, the part I already applied looks pretty good. It dried well and really covered a lot of imperfections, so the heavy application surely helped with that. It is a dramatic difference. Still, the measuring stick is inadequate. The instructions are incomplete. I have created my own measuring apparatus for the second batch. The aluminum oxide is very hard to disperse with any accuracy and is a real challenge to gauge how much to toss and where is has landed. I'm glad it is a garage floor and I don't plan to entertain there. I will try to update after some time to address durability issues. Longest review I have written. Update redux: 2nd batch arrived and was plenty to cover the balance with some left for touch up. It matched the first batch almost perfectly and I may be the only one who knows where the two applications come together. Bottom line: My floor was really rough and I had patched it repeatedly. The extra heavy application I used cost me coverage but it also did an amazing job of covering imperfections. Bubbles were the the most troubling part in the end as they cannot be prevented and cannot be controlled. There were too many to sand and touch up, BUT it is a garage floor and it still looks 100 times better than it did before. One last note: I don 't know how you sand an epoxy floor with aluminum oxide embedded in it. It is tougher than the sand paper. Grinding would be the only way. The end. (I hope)

Best epoxy kit on Amazon for the price
This epoxy coat floor kit is awesome. I’m in love with my garage floor and couldn’t be happier with the results. I ended up adding a clear coat on top of the dart grey to give it a nice shiny and protective finish. 100 percent solids epoxy you can’t beat it. Looks amazing. Be sure to do your prep work! And when it comes to mixing my buddy and I mixed all the epoxy at once and after 3/5 minutes of mixing we poured out all of the epoxy on the floor and used a large squeegee to get the epoxy to all corners of the garage and even up the side walls. Followed the squeegee up with a large 18 inch roller and then went straight to chips. I know this project can be intimidating but as long as you take your time with the prep work you will have good results. Notice that the epoxy sets up quickly so if you mix the entire batch make sure you have some help to get the material spread out evenly and quickly. Get yourself and your helper some cleats spiked shoes extra large squeegee and an 18 inch roller. Check out epoxy coats website to see all the tools that they recommend and use. I plan on using my garage as a work space and likely won’t have any vehicles on the epoxy so I’m sure it will hold up just fine in my application. Do the prep, get the right tools that the pros are using, get a little extra epoxy it will be worth it to have extra especially on your first run.

Too expensive, delayed shipment and not a great supplier.
For the price it’s not the greatest in the market. Be aware that the supplier keeps changing delivery date so take the delivery date you see when you place the order and add a few more weeks to it. Product seems to come from overseas. Return is another nightmare!
