Fun, but there is a learning curve
My eleven year old has had a lot of fun with this set. The instructions were difficult for them to follow on their own and I had to help with the first couple set ups and explain to them how it works. They have a lot of experience putting together advanced Lego sets (not technic) if that helps give you an idea of the complexity of the instructions. There is a lot of variety in parts and endless build possibilities once you've passed that initial learning curve.

So many pieces and possibilities.
The GraviTrax Pro Vertical Starter Set is on a next level for marble run enthusiasts! The quality is excellent, featuring durable plastic components that allow for gravity defying vertical builds. The 153 piece set provides plenty of variety to create complex, multilevel tracks, making every run exciting. The fun factor is off the charts, offering endless possibilities for experimentation with gravity, magnetism, and kinetics. Whether building tall towers or intricate pathways, the set encourages creativity and problem solving. For the price, it’s a great value, delivering high quality engineering and entertainment at an affordable cost. The modular design allows for easy expansion, making it perfect for both beginners and experienced builders. If you need a reliable marble run system, this one is a fantastic choice! Highly recommended for STEM learning and family fun!

Where has this been all my life!
This was ordered for my younger brother (age 6), but I can't stop using it! I'm 17 and have used various marble runs throughout my life, but this one takes the cake by a wide margin. The possibilities for marble tracks are endless! And the add-ons that you can buy to expand your marble run capabilities are numerous and well-made. We currently only have the basic set so far, but I've made a wishlist of all the different additions in order of perceived value, and the next few birthdays will be saturated with GraviTrax Overall 10/10 Flexibility 10/10 Durability 9/10 Support/add-ons 10/10 Enjoyment 11/10 Age range: my 6-year-old brother can spend hours playing with them, but you can get value and fun out of them no matter your age. The older you get, the more things you can create with them, so the fun scales with your age. I couldn't recommend this product more, it checks all the boxes and goes even beyond. I'm a snob regarding product design, but I had no issues. Genuinely, I love this product. There are many add-ons and larger sets out there, but this set on its own is enough to play with for hours. I was shocked when I saw that it was under $50 dollars because it's rare to find something of such good quality for such a great price.

Educational but requires patience
This is a great toy, but somewhat too complicated for our 11-y.o. ADHD kid to focus on long enough without getting frustrated. It takes up a lot of space and really gets in the way alot.

Hours and Hours of Fun!
I love building these with my 8 year old son. After buying the first set, we played with it for hours and hours. He had so much fun that I went back and bought every set and accessory they make. Great product.

Great for engineers!
Bought for kids for Christmas. They spent hours playing with it! Setup is touchy - can easily topple like dominoes. Teaches kids patience. Kept their attentions (12 and 9). Quality plastic pieces. Wish it came with more cardboard base pieces…can work without base, just a bit touchier.

Fun!
I purchased this for my sons birthday, he had been asking for it for sometime. He owns a few marble runs from when he was a lot younger, this one seemed to be more in his age group (12) and he enjoys the challenge of building it himself. The only negative I have found is that the pieces don't always have a way of clicking together, some of the track is just balanced upon one of the blocks for the marble to roll down which means sometimes they fall off. You will need a totally flat surface to build it on even with the board included. He likes that there are multiple different tracks to build and it is fun for him to film the marbles along the course in slow motion. A great gift for any child with patience and an interest in the mechanics of a marble run.
